I have been smoking on Durban and have come to like the high. For me it's up and happy with enough body to keep me happy. I can get the clone I have been smoking but would rather pheno hunt.

What breeder has the best Durban now?

SamSk was doing some durbans. I'm sure you could find them somewhere. But I think they are crossed with SK1 so not sure if you wouldnt mind that

That looks like what I'm looking for. Big calyxes, not leafy, long thin leaves.

GetMo described the effect I was speaking about exactly.

Thanks MAHA KALA.:tiphat:

you are welcomed. yeah nice green durbans.. i read that in cbg´s durban there is black pheno. that is what is exciting me more than green as it supposed to be very pungent.. plus colour  sound desirable..

I have grown the Dutch Passion, Nivarna, and African Seeds, Durbans. They all have their good and bad points. Dutch Passion has a lot of indica in it, but it's a very good yield and you can get some aniseed terps occasionally. I think the Nirvana has a bit of Skunk in it which kind of normalized it. The African Seeds version seems to be the most sativa, but never smelt like licorice to me.

I think the Dutch crossed the land race Durbans a few decades ago, to make them grow quicker/fatter indoors, however I like the thin leaf strains indoors, because they let more light through to the lower buds.

I am currently growing the Dutch Passion Durban, which I am going to cross with a 9 fingered thin leaf, Haze Special to try and eventually breed out some of the Indica out of the Dutch Durban without going crazy on the grow time. I spent my Xmas holidays smoking the Haze Special, and I like the buds it produces indoors better than the African Seeds Durban, which can take a few weeks longer for no real gain.

The Afropip Durban with a purple pheno that Dave Coulier has been growing looks great.
See this thread. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?threadid=307700

That's a variety I would like to try, but I don't think it's available anymore.
