Those reversible ProFilter's look pretty nice. I have a feeling they're more or less the same as a CanFilter, but at least they're reversible (the flange can be mounted on top or bottom).

I've personally always used a CanFilter (like CAN75, CAN100, CAN150, etc), but been looking into the Phresh / Mountain Aire filters which claim that they use higher quality carbon and weigh significantly less with same/better performance as CanFilter's. Still not sure how I feel about 'em, but I'll try 'em next time if they're available at a good price.

I just replaced my Can33 after 14 months....With another can33. These things work like a champ whether your sucking or pulling air through it, it gets the job done nicely. It is all getting the push by a vortex 6 inch fan on a speed controller.
I highly recommend this line of filters. :joint:

i also have a phresh 6x24. Just got it and it hasnt been used in flower yet but im sure it will do fine. I always used homemade scrubbers before this. Carbon is so expensive now that i feel its worth it just to get a phresh or other manufactured filter. It was only like a 130 bucks.

I have been useing a home made carbon filter that cost a total of $20 including the bathroom fan from a yard sale. before i filled it with aquarium carbon from walmart, you could smell my house from the road. After the carbon you cant smell anything in my room even. I understand the security of a comercially made product, and cost isn't outrageous but $100 savings for something so simple. My fan is loud though a little extra on a quieter fan couldn't hurt, but i always have a fan in my window as well so I can get away with that part. Good luck!

I'll be adding an additional fan for some room configuration, but have been using the PROfilter w/ Vortex 6" with no issues for the last 4 mos.

I have to admit that after seeing what some others use, I may try the Phresh Filter.

Just so I understand, you have the highly regarded PROFilter and have had no issues, but you might try the Phresh because other people use Phresh? This makes sense how?

Made mine from the DIY back on OG, its the same design here I think, 3 fills worth of carbon from ebay. $65 for 3 years of zero odor. I agree don't skimp on security (read peace of mind), but I find great satisfaction in DIY with smashing success.

It's my favorite DIYer along with the DIY buble cloner.

I just purchased a phresh and its killin it. Plus I was told it would last about 2x longer than the traditional pellet carbon.

Curiosity/side-by side maybe ?

Still going to be using the PRO, I just wanted to try the Phresh on recommendation.

Make any better sense ?

MountainAir are the best scrubbers that I've personally used and have extraordinary longevity.

MountainAir carbon is a sub-bituminous coal based carbon sourced from within the vast Collie basin in Australia. Alone among carbons, it displays a property known as decarboxylation, by which the carbon uses ambient hydrogen to strip carboxyl groups away from larger VOC’s prior to absorption.

In effect, the carbon acts as its own prefilter.

Thanks for the input guys, Its in between a Can Filter and a Phresh filter.. What size Can would I need for a 6'x10' area with a Vortex 6"?
