Best can filter for 4" Vortex(172CFM)

I just thought I would ask, I am leaning toward a can-33. It's max CFM rating is 200CFM. Would this filter work well with a 172CFM 4" Vortex inline?

Thanks :joint:

FYI the maximum cfm rating if blowing air into (exhuasting into) the Can 33 Filter is 200cfm,but if set up inside the grow so that you are pulling air through the filter (what can fan refers to as recirculating) the maximum cfm rating is 400cfm.....so it really all comes down to application.

Should work just fine as Can Fans 4"HO exhuast fan is rated 155cfm where your vortex is rated 175cfm.You may have to replace the charcoal often though. In fact if you go to can fans website and look at the specs for the Can 33 (let alone almost every can filter) they also give you fan recomendations, and their 4" 155cfm inline is one of the recommended fans. They also tell you the estimated airflow after attaching the fan to the filter and with their 4" 155cfm fan matched to their Can 33 filter the effective airflow would be 137cfm meaning a 0.25" loss to static pressure.

that's what i'm using. Can33 and a 4" vortex. They work fantastic together. My setup is filter in the cabinet, ducting going to a collar. Fan suspended over the cab on the exterior.
