Best Bang for Buck led for PC grow

Hi All, (takes bong hit)
cough,
cough,

My first post in 7 years after becoming a member for 3 years, didn't realize how long its been since I posted, and feels good to be back on here. Must have got busy
LED's are not the best for flowering. BUT, My brother and I are making a little micro grow (apartment renting) and by micro i mean micro, 2 feet wide, height 2 feet deep and only 8" to 12" inchs wide. PC GROW!!!!

NOW TO THE LED's I dont know shit about leds!
I want a small power full LEDS to fit in a PC case.
I dont want junk, please help.
Experienced LEDS growers only please

So far i like the blackstar brand since they make a small led, But im all about a diy project if its safe and has good output.

diy works like a fucking beast

the next best thing costwise would be rigging a bunch of e27 led bulbs together, easy to get 1500lm per bulb x 8 and its like having a 150hps with better spectrum in a pc

i just have no idea how to pick a bulb they range so much in price and design. I think that's why the panels did so well in marketing.

2 DIY COB LED's Cree CXB 3070s running at 1-1.5amp each would work perfect on your space. My space is similar to yours 2'x1' and I currently run each COB @ 34watts for around 70w total. I feel like I works great, very efficient, a bit costy around $100 -$120 for the setup, but in the long run it's worth every penny! You might just need to do some reseach about drivers and see what works best for you! There also might be better deals on LED' models if you are trying to save a few bucks!

If you are trying to take a shortcut and not have to deal with DIY, go with the LED bulbs that fit into a regular socket, like blynx does and you can also grow great stuff!

Hope this LEDS you on the right way. (get it?! haha)

Check out my thread in the signature to see what those little LED's are capable of, its my first run using them, and I love it! I should be harvesting in a week or so, and I am interesting to see what yields they will give me!

Peace!

DIY COBs are the way to go. I'm running 4x Vero13 and they work a treat. Check out my PC grow in my signature. :tiphat:

yeah really exited to build this case. i got my case and i got no room for lights. but it is a sweet case with sound dampening, fan controllers on the back. a front door. No windows.

Inside measurements are 20" H x 19 1/2" L x 8.5" wide. lol the fun begins Im making plans now.
4" deep planter build in to pc, no pots just box and cube liner. drain plug on the side with valve to flush. Upgrade to hydro after couple crops.
wondering if this fan will be ok for carbon filter. http://www.amazon.com/Delta-23-1238-21-Bearing-Cooling-Connector/dp/B0051PS36C
The Delta Has 240.96 CFM and Maximum Air Pressure : 27.48 mm H²O a beast 12 volt

So my main question right now is Lumens and what i need for cob light total wattage to Lumen i need.
I prefer big LEDs to make the build easy.
So whats my max wattage till its to much light. i only have 16 inchs for my canopy and light. yikes lol.
8.5x19.5 165 Sq inchs 1.14 sqft. micro indeed lol!!!

ill check that out Reikox
