Best air cooled hood for 1000w hps in 5x5x7 tent

I upgraded my 600w to a 1000w hps this winter. I barrowed an old cool tube style hood i had for the new light but it has a small footprint and a bad hot spot in the middle. I would like to upgrade to a better air cooled hood that distributes the light better. I have been looking at the raptor 6" and the xxxl 6" is there any better options on the market? I would like to keep cost down but i know good hoods are not cheap. Whats everyone's opinion on the best bang for the buck in this instance?

Yes their expensive 50 to 75 but it's worth it

I have a walk in closet I leave open and I'm running a basic wing reflector with a 1000 at a bit over 4 feet high. The closet is bursting lol.
No heat issues I have to go in and water with the light inches above my head and it's very comfortable actually my hair ain't setting on fire I'm surprised how it's not that hot but if I turn on my ceiling fan it's like I have the heater on.

I just have a fan on low pointed in to the closet from the door away from the light if I point it at the light through the canopy blowing right under the light again I have heat issues but opening the back door or window helps bring down the temps with this mild winter weather I get

Blockbuster reflector had the best reviews awhile back, but I seem to have misplaced the link I thought I saved.

I own a 6" Blockbuster and a 6" Magnum XXXL. The Magnum barely fits in a 4x4 and is larger than the Blockbuster. You'll be fine in a 5x5 with either.

Do yourself a favor, search marketplace and/or Craig's for a reflector.. you can find them very cheap compared to buying new as growers upgrade to LED.

My blockbuster has a hinged glass for easier cleaning over the Magnum.. Magnum I have to slide the glass out horizontally and it's a pita. Get hinged glass..

Thanks. Good to hear from someone that has owned one of the large reflectors like the xxxl. I know they are big but if the light coverage and distribution is good im down. Im in the mid west so im not sure if i will have as much luck on market place as someone living in a more mj friendly state. I actually am not having as much luck as i had hoped buying new. It seems all the hoods i am interested in have been discontinued. They are still available but fewer and further between. Like you said everyone is switching to led so why make a $200-300 hood when you can buy a spider farmer sf-2000 board for the same price. Believe me i have thought about just inventing in a led to cover what the 1000w hps with a bad hood cant reach but then im still stuck with a hood that creates a big hot spot in the middle (and by hot spot i dont really mean a spot that is overly warm but a spot that the light ia so intense that it bleaches the leaves almost white)
