the stuff derived from coal is supposed to be better for our uses then the stuff derived from coco. as i understand it there is a higher grade for use in brewing and the lower grade is fine for scrubbers. dont quote me on that tho, just heard it from another vet grower so figured id relay the info to u.

any will work fine but cheapest way is online. ebay. etc. dependin on how large yer can is may be best to just order the whole can filter pre-filled.

I found some at a pet store. It's used to keep fishtanks clean and odor-free. It' made with bituminous coal. I've also heard you can use kitty litter...that crystal kind.

that may be good if you grow in a computer case but any substantial size can needs so many pounds that orderin in bulk online is the only viable option. unless you dont mind wasting tons of hard-earned cash.

yeah, I wasn't sure if coconut kind is ok. I didnt think so sounds to cheap lol, I went to pet store to buy some buy would cost way to much. Ebay seems to be the way to go again.....

Actually I'm building a canister right now that will be used for a 454 cfm inline fan. The whole thing cost me about $40 USD. The can is 6" on the outside 2 ft long and the fan is a 4" that leaves 1" around for the carbon. Shaggy has a thread on how to make one. Sorry for answering a question.

The scrubber Shaggy built is the same damn thing...except with his it's pretty damn easy to replace the carbon when it's time. Be lazy. Waste money.
