^ it's also lower cfm than other 6 inch fans... so it just depends what you are cooling.

Can't go wrong with a vortex.

Stealth is a thing for me and I've been using 3 generic 6" inlines with the addition of a adjustable speed controller to make my 8x5 area with 2x 1kw aircooled hoods.

I had a crop and treated myself to some maxfan 6's but I am going to have to return them becaue even on the lowest setting it is far too loud. The dial-adjuster gadgets you buy for $20 have 6 speed settings, including low-low. So this allows me to run 3 6iners on low-low and 75*f.

Problem is summer is coming, I know I will have to dim the lights if I do not upgrade --- how effective are duct mufflers like this one https://htgsupply.com/Product-Duct-Muffler-6in.asp ?

I got an s and p for my veg room then passing to air cool flowering lights, and going to be going into the cold air return in winter and make some passive returns thourgh a wall. To prevent pressure diff with the door closed. I also have a max fan 6 on a can 50 its a little louder and more winndy sounding, but both have little to no vibration noise (still advised to bungee cord it as every little bit helps). wind noise is a different story. to fix that you need a speed controller, duct muffler, acoustic foam. If your going for quiet I would go with S and P. they work well through a normal sized scurbbers. I kinda wish I would have did a trial run to see how it would fair with the can 50 when I was setting up just for shits and grins.

if your wanting total silence on good size system, duct mufflers, acoustical foam, bells and whistle fan controllers, can get pretty pricey. that is my next step...till then I got ambien and close the doors at lights out...but I want to get it to the point of having a closed locked door with not even the slightest noise.
