besides using a water chiller how can I keep rez Temps down?

Any ideas?

I tired to search for a coil like device that gets cold and I could drop into my rez. But I can't locate one online. And no I can't move my rez outside the room.

I have (3) 27 gallon rez's and a water chiller i don't think will be efficient or Practical Because of the cost and room size I have.

ice tubes... and plenty of them... empty 2liter soda bottle filled w/ water and frozen...
change daily in rez.... might take 3-4 in each but bigg ice cubes work

another way to help is to use more air.
i use an air pump thats rated to double the amount of air in gallons as in the entire system

if theres 50 gallons in the system use a 100 gpm air pump setup. it doesnt cool things down any but it allows me to suffer peak temps in excess of 75F and still keep the roots healthy

Also make sure the air pump is in a cool spot so as to not pump warm room air into your Rez. I like to have the cold air intake by my air pumps. Keep Them higher then the Rez to stop back siphon if they ever fail.
A water chiller is the best and possibly only option if these remedies aren't enough...
I did sell the "ice probe" at one time and it works but when I had some warranty they did not return my calls.could be cause I'm in Canada and they are in USA and shipping is sometimes a pain and expense...

Do you have access to hay?
Not kidding.

Get the rez as low as possible to the floor. Wider is better than tall.
Get some net for wrapping and make a cylinder out of it with twice the diameter of the rez, or make whatever shape the rez is. Put the rez in there and stuff the sides with hay, it will isolate well and keep it cooler for longer.
You can also use Mineral Wool or any other type of insulation material, but hay is cheaper and non-toxic.

A small fan blowing on the surface of your water may have an appreciable difference. Problem then becomes rapid evaporation...

No access to hay. I was going to try replacing my rez with a cooler. Theyreally insulated and about the same size as my rez now.

Tried using a fan to blow on the water.....decreased the rez Temps from 78 to 75. No bad.

Looks like a water chiller for next season in on deck

If you use a fan on the reservoir (kind of like a swamp cooler), does it necessitate more fresh water (no nutrients) top offs to keep EC from swinging? No experience with this, so curious.

I did a test on how fast Temps in rez were rising. At 11:45 am I filled my rez and Temps read 50 degrees. By 1am the next morning Temps were 68. Temps rose fast.

I then filled a small cooler with water that read 50 degrees at 11:30 am on April 14 And as of April 16 at 2:15am Temps are at 64 degrees.

I'm thinking I can use a 100 liter cooler as my rez. It will help keep Temps at the ideal 65-68 degree mark a lot easier being the temp fluctuations are not as quick And more managable

Build an enclosure for your 3 rez's, take the compressor from an old refrigerator and build it into the box. I'm sure you could find a cheap fridge on craigslist, if not free
