BEEFING your yields in the last Month of Flowering!

Ok, So I checked out my buddy's setup and hes switched over for a few days over a good month now and I was wondering how I can help him beef his yields for the last weeks of flowering......... the screen is like filled and the tops are barely pokin through, as he keeps pushin em under........ can anyone provide any insights for formula that makes buds beef out like CRAZY in the last 4 weeks? they are 2 ladies in 10gal each, under a combined 1000 (6 and a 4).......... any and all insights are much appreicated! Liquid Karma from Botanicare for catlyst growth. I put this on my plants the last couple of weeks and bam. They exploded not only in weight, but the crystal's are huge and mushroomed out more.

If you still have 4 weeks to go then I wouldn't expect too much now. It seems to me that the last 2 weeks or so are where the really masive growth happens.

Yep they deff beef up in the last few weeks of flower(they can look quite scrawny till then)

I am a bit worried about the fact he keeps pulling them under

I assume u mean he is useing some sort of sog/scrog
And that your mate is 1 month into flower(and he still keeps pulling them under)

I dont know much about scrog set up's(and i could be totally wrong)
But i dont think he should still be pulling them under if one month of flower has passed(I would of thought u would stop filling the screen 2 weeks into flower)
I would imagine if your still trying to fill the screen after a month of flower,your Cola's would be half the size


Anyway as i said i maybe totally wrong on this(as say never done it)
Or i may of mis read your post and the info

he said he was trying to keep the canopy even..... but I should tell him to pull it all through? the things are HUGE........ all over the place..... exploding out of the closet they are in....... he told me if I gave him a hand he'd give me a big assed bud.........so Im tryin to figure out how he can get the biggest buds possible....... Use a bloom booster? Reduce humidity to 35-45% in final 2 weeks if not already, lower temps. IME the best yields were when those things happened in addition to a stress free grow. Sounds like with that lighting and scrog the yield won't need much help though.

I think u are better of ignoreing my advice m8
I think i must of misread you.....


BAsicly my understanding is
If there sticking well out above the screen at 4 weeks of flower,Then those will fatten up
If tho(as i understood what was hapening with your mate)Is that at 4 weeks flower he is still training the stems to stay UNDER the screen,
meaning he would only have 4 weeks left to get above the screen(By say 10 inchs)And THEN pack on weight(All in the last 4 weeks)this i dont think would happen in the last 4 weeks of a grow....


All that said,I aint done a scrog so i am not the best person to listen to
Also he could have a long flowering strain(12 week finsish or somit(meaning he has more time than i think he has))

ive done hella lotsa of reading on scrog this current grow im going scrog, my understanding with scrog is during veg you train the tops to the screen on top not bottom. you adjust every day each top to keep them flat on the screen untill the screen is filled to desired fullness. optimum is 2 growth shoots per 2 inch square now when the screen is filled to liking flip to 12/12 your canopy should stay even steven. if i'm wrong some1 pls correct me . so it sounds to me your friend kiinda got little mixed up on how to scrog OR he has very limited space to deal with hence reason for grown under the screen. ive read all every thing under the screen should be cut away before onset of 12/12 or youll need to light up the undersides to feed pop corn nuggets that will grow and take away from the above screen action. so unless he can pull the buds throught he screen now he'll just have to run with what he's done for now and try again properly next time

Thats pretty much it....I train my scrog for about 7-14 days into flower depending on stretch with twist ties. I just tied one down again tonight, day 10, hopefully the last time.

oops srry i forgot to mention the twisty ties thier available in any local garden shop a 100 ft roll cost me like 2 $ us @ walmart just cut the length ya need an whalla. i used it last grow for a LST grow worked perfect

After the stretch in flower is over there is no need to keep pushing them through the screen, just leave them be.

Just feed a good flowering nute like EJ or PBPB, unless of course you have been using chemical to this point....then just get a high P-K nute. Probaly find one at walfart. But don't expect huge colas if you are doing a scrog. Too much stress on the plant.
