Hey there are some Oil Blobs on some SoCal beaches so they closed them down.

Was it natural seepage?

In the last millennium, when I was a child I used to wonder about the tar balls which would stick to the bottom of my feet.

You could see the oil rigs offshore so naturally we thought it came from the rigs.
The
Not so, it was Natural Seepage from the earth.

Tar is fun to play with, poking with a stick.

Want more Tar Fun, there is the LaBrea Tar pits with loads of tar coming to the surface. (Very near Hollywood)

It's natural (why do you think they drill for oil around here)

Any Tar Pits near you?

Peace

Natural seepage is when an oil tanker crashes upstate, and the oil drifts down the entire state coast line, and they call it natural seepage so that really stupid people won't make any connections.

No Natural Seepage is just that..Natural

It's the Stupid people who try and link Natural Seepage to say like the break in an Oil Pipeline last week, further north.

I can guarantee you that they DO NOT pump tar balls through an Oil Pipeline.

TAR BALLS are natural, they also do not ship Tar Balls in Oil Tankers.

I've lived here for 60 years and Tar Balls are still natural seepage.

Peace

Here's a link to the Wikipedia tar balls site with pictures of tar balls from shipping disasters. I think your info is incorrect. It does show that they are natural as well but can come from oil industry accidents.

It has a pic of tar balls from the tanker Jessica that were washed ashore on the Galápagos Islands in 2001.

not natural...how many tarballs you step on in lebrea? or see?

tarballs are created when ocean waves roll the heavy oils onshore again and again and they coagulate. they do not seep from underground sources.

you have a handful of senses...use a couple.

In all of my years Tar Balls around here have originated from Natural Seepage.

In this case it does not add up to the broken pipe in Rufugio.

That's why I say we'll see.

Those tar balls you feel are the oil companies oily balls resting on your forehead. Don't worry, just keep telling yourself it's natural. They'll give you a towel to clean up with when they're done.

Do you work for BP? Because when I type "tar balls" in google, "BP Oil Spill" pops up as its own category of images. So does "BP Oil Spill Animals".

when I lived in Santa Barbara (77 to 83) they called the tar collected on our feet "natural seepage". Used vegetable oil to remove it. The term is anything but new it would seem.

this guy and his tarballs. the natural form of oil is not fucking balls of tar. it's thick fucking sludge. i should know i come from a country with a lot of oil under it. natural seepage is thick sludge like the beverly hillbillies. not balls.

I think this disscussion is getting bogged down in semantics. I myself would think NATURAL seepage would be just anything naturally occurring in NATURE.

I think also that there is some crime being committed by these oil company hypocrits just by saying that propaganda because now my 8 year old grand-daughter is growing up thinking that oil company spillage is somehow just part of nature. It is not.

So they got tar in their water and they got mexicans bringing in some black tar from down south.

Cali is a tarry place.
