BB Blue Cheese Bud Journal

Greetings from Canada all!

I Decided to post my BB Blue Cheese grow because they are lookin nice. Let me know what you think.

So,

I started with a 10 pack of feminized BB BC seeds purchased from Vancouver Seed Bank. I decided to germinate 7 of the 10 seeds (due to space constraints) and pick a potential mother from the lot. Seeds 1-2 were all sprouted on the same day , 3-7 were staggered 10 days. After not too long seeds 1&2 lept ahead of the others and showed dominance right away. Here are the ladies week one under 12/12...

Blue Cheese 1 week one of 12/12 is looking really hairy
picture.php

Blue Cheese 2 week one. A close runner up and is going strong as well
picture.php

I am Not going to really mention seeds 3-4-5 because they have not shown up as well as the 1-2-6-7 seeds have, you will see them in the background of the seed 1/2 shots to come though.

Blue Cheese 6 week one. Behind a few days but is starting to show a lot of buds.
picture.php

Blue Cheese 7 is looking really healthy, not as fast to grow initially from seed but is showing great potential with the amount of bud nodes. The shots of 6-7 were taken when seeds 1-5 had already been budding for 2 weeks, so I dont have any week two shots of 6-7 in bud, stay tuned :) (blueberry in the background of the 6/7 shots)
picture.php

Ok onto week two of flowering, Numbers 1&2 are still hauling ass.
picture.php

Even after only two - three weeks, 1&2 are starting to frost up and get mega hairy, they are more than a foot taller than seeds 3-5 behind them and were potted at the exact same time.
picture.php

This is a shot of BC2 ... week two - three
picture.php

and another of BC2's cola week two - three
picture.php

a branch week two - three
picture.php

but.... BC1 is still kicking pretty hard ass on the competition, will be interesting to see how #7 will keep up in the weeks to come. This is BC1 only week 2 - 3 into flowering.
picture.php

If this branch has any bearing on where things are going im happy. BC1 branch week 2-3 into flowering, wow 8-10 week flowering , i'm stoked to see where it goes being this bad ass already.
picture.php

And the cola BC1 week 2-3 12/12, looks to have a higher resin count than the rest more than anything.
picture.php

All and all a musky aroma is overwhelms you when you enter the room after a night of cooking. A musky aroma that can only be described as, cheeeeeeeesy

~Drooling so far

Stay posted i'm getting a better camera for week 3-4.

~Peace,

-Nol

Shit only 2 weeks flower?? it looks like they have been going for 4 lol, very nice job you can tell your looking after these girls the leaves are a really nice deep green, full of nitrogen. May I ask how much are you feeding them? And how long did you veg for. They look great and your doing a brilliant job!!

Oh and what is the stretch like?

Well as you can tell they were left in veg for a little longer than usual, due to the fact that they were seeds. I still wanted to let them show sex before I put them under the Sodium so I left them under my MH1000 HTL for 35 days after the seeds started poking out from the cube. They were about 3 ft. then from dirt to tip when I put them over to 12/12, They have grown about a foot in height and filled out tremendously in the two weeks post. All of the week two pictures the 1 & 2 plants are about 4 ft tall,l I will make sure to but a beer can in my next pictures to relate size :). My week two is more along the lines of 20-25 days of budding so I am being generous in all of the shown pictures, still they are going nuts , I am very excited to see the final result.
For watering I have been using 80% of the suggested nutes, Advanced line full juice from voodoo to bloom. I am only using the nutrients every second watering as sugested by BB themselves, and lowering my PH level with the clean/flush watering cycle to 6.2. Dirt medium cocoa / worm casting / sunshine #4 / grandpas secret sauce. And yup they get love :) more to come tonight ! week 3 updates

sorry, they jumped up about a foot to a foot and a half within the first 3 weeks of being under the sodium if that answers your stretch question.

I have noticed a little Blueberry in the characteristics of the blue cheese, although the strain of blueberry I had was grown from was a mystery bud.The seeds were in a sack of blueberry given to me by a friend, it was the only bud with any seeds. I found about a dozen seeds from this one bud and decided to grow em. Most were pretty poor looking when put through the grow cycle but I did get a good run from one, made it mom. The final product was a pheno of blue berry that I have been growing for the last few months. It is a very frosty plant and grows stalky and dense. Will make an awesome outdoor crop this year, stay tuned for "operation penner" mah outdoor gorrilla blueberry grow journal comin' soon! SO here is a snap of one of the blueberry clones, about 5 mins before harvest.

~Note this is NOT the Blue Cheese .

Hey there

Im very impressed from the speed of development of the flowers. The 2 weeks of flowering shot is really surprising me.
but do you mean 2 weeks of 12/12 or 2 weeks from the moment they actually started to push pistils out?

K

Kal-El

I had 2 phenos, one was fruity and the other was sort of coffee flavored.

The 2 week mark is being a little generous I must admit ... its more like reaching into the 3rd week mark when the later pics were taken. The Week one pics were at the end of week one 12/12. The pistols were showing 4-6 days before they got put under the Sodium.. Hope this answers your question Wamen :)

As for the pheno of choice, I have read that the sativa dom 'lanky' plant is the ticket? I have no idea which one i'm going to turn mother, but hopefully two turn out on either end of the spectrum so I can have a variety.I have 3 clips of each seed variety trayed up and awaiting jury :) BC1 and BC 7 are the two that look like thy have the best potential so far. If anyone has experience with this strain I would love input on pheno of choice...

Here is the BC # 1 seeded 10 days prior to BC # 4 which follows.

picture.php

And BC # 4 ... Unreal how much faster BC 1 was moving than the rest though...

picture.php

Here is BC # 2 was the only one that was keeping up at all in veg. Pay in mind seeds1 & 2 were sprouted on the same day.

picture.php

Here is a little Veg room alotta outdoor blueberry being prep'd in the shot but you can see Blue Cheese 1&2 on the right kickin ass and 3,4,5 in smaller pots center left. Blueberry mother is amassing in the far right corner if you are wondering what the green machine is. ( Sorry the veg room pic is such a cluster )

I will have some more recent BC Bud shots by saturday, im getting me a new camera... Buds are getting really smelly man alive.

Some of my dates are off so some day 29 bud pics coming tomo with 10 MP camera ima see if i can cap the resin glands, its looking unreal. SO far best strain i've ever grown.
TY Big Buddha ..

~ Here is another shot of the blueberry Pheno I mothered... My Blueberry mother is going outside in one week to the day, (after some hooge pruning) it's in greenhouse to adapt right now, seeing that the weather has turned 25+. No room for both strains indoor, sooooo. a dozen healthy clips that I have been prep'ing for the last month, as well as bakers dozen well placed holes outside in a sunny glen...Mah outdoor is going to be massive 2009 ( hoping that the sun/god and deer have a real union meeting about the whole " summer " issue. Anywho here are some frosty indo pics of the blueberry I am replacing with my a m a z i n g Blue cheese that BB blessed me with.

Day 31 Flowering BB BC

Day 31 Flowering BB BC

Well, the new camera doesn't really take all that great of a picture, at least I could get in Close on some of these shots though. The old camera had no hope with that, so here ya go some mucho stinky, mucho frosty Blue Cheese Flowering pics Day 31 for BC 1-5 day 21 for BC 6&7.

BC # 1 & 2 side by side, I am really not going to focus at all on the 3-5 plants that you can see in the background, they are moderate at best and I only have so much posting space.

picture.php

BC 1 going with mah mornin coffee

picture.php

BC 2 powerhousing along

picture.php

But, what looks so far to be the Mother BC 1 is starting to plump up with some serious vigor, 31 days into flowering.

picture.php

BC1 Branch day 31

picture.php

BC1 another branch closeup, 31 days

picture.php

Yup Shes turning into a monster, 31 days into a 8-10 week projected flower cycle, the drool is pooling on the floor now. BC1 31 days , and close up.

picture.php

picture.php

picture.php

BC 2 Has still got awesome potential, BC 2 Cola 31 days.

picture.php

SO those are the furthest along ones, plants 6&7 are day 21 of flowering , both are looking amazing, very large stretch from both of these plants. BC 7 is the healthiest pheno yet IMO.... we will see what the future holds.

BC6 day 21

picture.php

BC 7 on the right and 6 on the left, both are too large to catch with one shot, look at the bud nodes on 7 though .. yikes...

picture.php

Here are the clones ready to sustain whatever pheno I decide to make mom.

picture.php

And thats all folks, any feedback is appreciated hope you are all loving the Blue cheese as much as I am... These plants are really starting to give a pungent aroma, I may decide to bath in it :woohoo:

Good work! Damn. You did what I did on my last pull. I vegged them to three plus feet and i ended with 5 footers. Some finished as early as 42 days after 12 and 12.

You know its weird, BC1 is just starting to pop a couple reds at 33 days, man I would love to see the # 1 go for a few more weeks but i'm going to give it another 2weeks tops, three would be pushing it. I'm keeping a close eye on # 7 she had a lotta nodes on her, I hope it will grace me with a long flower cycle so I can get the branches to bulk up... 8 weeks even with that base will be joosy. Thanks for the input though Buddahboyee, wow they really have quite a stench hey ?...

Yes those ladies have a powerful aroma. I had one which smelled like bug spray and cheesey berry...grossed me out a lil bit but it is good smoke. I had a cured piece I sampled last night which had a distinct blue cheese(stilton) flavor w/berry undertones. That was unique and definitely an unforgettable toke.

My jealousy overwhelms me Buddah! .. i can't wait. seeing quite a bit of the blueberry characteristics starting to show on a couple of the phenos now, I should have some updated pics this weekend of week 5.

Just in time for mom!

Hah yea right, these are some updated pics... Some of these plants look like they are getting ready to crop, even though its only 40 days in. I am however seeing a really hooge improvement on a couple of the plants. When I crop I will be able to get some better shots, the plants aren't that easy to move right now due to the buddage weighing things down. Here's the best my patience levels could take when it comes to snap shots..

BlueCheese 1 Day 39 looks almost done, top bud hasn't show alot of red but the resin heads are well cloudy on the rest of the plant, wish she would have gone longer but ahh well. The frost on this plant was causing alot of glare so was hard to get a decent shot with this bogus camera.

picture.php

And mid plant...

picture.php

A couple upclose shots, poor lighting sorry.. BC1 day 39 Close up..

picture.php

picture.php

BC2 going crazy frosting up , not showing nearly any red and was planted the same day as BC1. Forming, starting to really smell fruity as well.
BC2 39 days

picture.php

picture.php

Mid Growth in this plant is healthy as well , all the buds seem to be filling out, has at least a couple weeks to go I hope. BC2 39 days midgrowth.

picture.php

But the baby to watch for is BC 6 she has gone insane, looks like the potential mother, at day 29 this is what she has to offer. Wowza,
