I have a 15x13x6 basement. i have 2 55gal plastic drums i scored for 5$ off of craigslist. has any built a controller with elect floats? like from krypto/bartenders design. The threads are couple years old , so i was wondering if there has been any improvements or tips. How many buckets could i use if i have 1 400w Mh or Hps. The local hydro store said to use the big net cups that are attached to lids. or should i stick with 2 buckets? I am open to any ideas or criticism. The basement right now hits about 75F and with a small fan the highs hit about 88F. I will be buying a larger fan and lookn for a water cooler to salvage if i need to chill my water. the basement has 2 windows. wont need a scrubber since im in the cali country. if i added like 12 buckets and instead of building 2 controllers could you have 2 rez's linked together?

thanks in advance :)

15x13= 195 ft sq. The biggest area to effectively use a 400w is 3x3. That's about 4 buckets. Granted that's enough to pull 1lb every two months once you get it dialed in, but come on, why stop there?

how many tubes you think? i would do that if it works since its wayyyy cheaper, and run it 24/7 for 2 months or people say dark time is important for liek 4 hours. Should i take pics of the room? the ceiling is cement so i can drill in it for hooks and the room has tons of outlets

I do 18/6 when I'm looking for results with veg, I don't know why but it seems they grow faster than when the lights are 24/0, even though the plants get less light overall. I'm just one person though, ask around and do a lil experimentation for yourself.

I love Kryptos do-it-yourself version of the MULTI FLOW. It works great. Hand-built one, and purchased two other control buckets.

Tips for basement: Keep the buckets off of the concrete floor in the winter months.
