Does this help or hinder business?
It could be benneficial in the fact that if outside seed company seeds arent shown then they wont be advertised and sought after, bringing in more sales for the seeds that are shown and keeping people buying the supported breeders through the botique or bay.
On the other hand it may be bad for business because people want to share and be able to look at things that arent minipulated, from an unbiased perspective. For instance there is this strain Ive heard a lot about, but threads here keep getting deleted about it, so I go out and search for a forum with info on it. It leads me to a different seed seller and I end up buying a whole lot of his gear. This is money that I probably would have spent at the Bo cuz I never would have hunted for the strain info elsewhare as I already had a clone so really wasnt looking to purchase, but just learn a little about my clone.
Bottom line is does banning/deleting competitions seed threads save the day, or does it make us run away?

i think when you're a website that provides a service and that website recieves a ton more traffic than competition websites, its best not to mention the competition.

when you get to the competition websites its pretty obvious who has more customers

i say it drives people away.

frankly, censorship of any kind offends me, ...which is why i spend most of my on-line time elsewhere.
