Getting back to the original story does anyone really believe someone was charged with something rediculous like " assault and battery with intent to kill " rather than attempted murder? Ive never heard of the charge assault and battery with intent to kill, anyone else?

And you shouldn't! Regardless of what your personal views are of the police, just because they occasionally enforce marijuana laws, doesn't mean they don't deal with wayyy worse shit than we will ever see. They deal with the shit that has to get dealt with by someone, and you or I aren't volunteering. They don't make a lot of money, and risk their lives to do a job that has to get done, that most people won't do. I bought 3 of local officers lunch at Chili's on Tuesday, in honor of 9/11.

I don’t understand why you are so adamant about defending police officers. If they caught you with pot on your person they wouldn’t think twice about ****ing you over even if you did buy your local cops lunch. Which I am curious to know what your local cops had to do with 9/11? I thank the fire fighters and regular civilians who went into those falling buildings to save peoples lives. What did cops do that day regular citizens can't do themselves?

I also don’t give a damn about what cops have to deal with. I don’t think they are heroic or patriotic for ruining people’s lives on a daily basis. Any shit cops get the god damn deserve however shooting at the police is a poor choice. Cops are the scum of the world and the protectors of the status quo. Capitalism and this shitty society counldn't thrive without them, thus we need to get rid of them if we want to start living better as people. They also have no interest in getting rid of crime, although crime is an extention of capitalism. if they get rid of crime they're out of a job. another reason I think this war on drugs is meant to be endless.
