Bagseed Sam is back!

Use to do most of my grows using CFL. Ive decided to convert (well, sorta).

I got some seeds from some real lazy mids the other day, which i plan on hopefully hightening the low on it with a slightly early harvest. And I happened upon a 70 watt hps. Ill be starting the seedlings (which are 2 days old) with the hps and supplimenting once they reach veg with high lumen CFL.

The growbox is rudimentary at best (a TV box with a small fan inside), and will hopefully be upgraded if im ever able to spend some more cash.

For now there are six seedlings. I will be taking them the (dont panic, its..) organic route in Fox Farm Ocean Forest and Alaskan Fish Emul. Im only looking for one nice female from this so after whittling out the crapseed, I should wind up with something nice.

If this goes well I may be back in the game, and blow some cash on Grape Krush (DJ Short)

Since I use bagseed a lot of the time, my regimens for acceptable plants is quite strict. Excessive stretch is something that I generally dont keep around.

Unfortunately, 3 out of the 5 seeds stretched more then Ive ever seen. Likely bad genetics.

But the two i have seem to be stout and strong, short internodes and nice green growth. One of the two grew close to the HPS and burned a portion of one leaf but both are very healthy and growing strong.

This is my favorite bagseeder. Hope its a girl!


My setup as of 20 minutes ago. Transplanted the oldest plant, who is how about 8inches tall. The other is at about 6. Im going to let the smallest two get some height on them before tossing them all into 12/12. Probably a couple more weeks. Cant wait!!

This is my bagseed pride. Its getting so robust, I hope its a fem!


Started 12/12 last night. Early, i know, but i want them to finish before my lease is up in a couple months. Wooooo.

These are from my 'legal' garden Ive been trying to keep alive over the winter. Most of the stuff died but left to right we have strawberries, spinach, lemon balm and spearmint. It snowed yesterday so I brought them in for the day.




Now, for my ladies. Waking up today after a 13 hour sleep.

This seedling had a hole in the cotyledon. Hasnt seemed to hamper its progress too much, so Im keeping it.


The other seedling is working on it, too..


The three seeds I planted yesterday still havent popped the surface yet. Patience, as they say, is a virtue.


Again, my most healthy plant here..


Started tentative 12/12 on my birthday, Mar. 4

As you can see, the healthiest plant was a male. I cut him down because I didnt need sperm just yet. I planted three more seeds and switched to a 6 hour night schedule. I topped my second oldst and cloned what i cut in hopes that if its a female i can get a little more on my yield. Ill throw back into 12/12 when the youngsters get to 5th node.

The clone is already showing white roots so. Lets hope!

Howya doin Bagseed? just caught yer tag/link figgered Id check it out!Im a !st time grower and havin a blast with it! I used some seed from some decent weed i got about 5 yrs ago.I dont have pics from the beginning because I didnt find this site until last month when I was doin some research,but Ill post a couple here. I started flower on New Yrs Eve, so I think Im @ day 81..hmm. around there somewhere..
This around day 70-75






Ive had a couple of problems..nute burn etc..but the worst is everything went herm on me,I think because I did some aggresive pruning around 3 wks of flower and then the clocks changed and I didnt set the time on the timer and long story short, I think they may have been light seeded.but I dont care because its all benn a learning experience.. and the weed is good to boot!!
