bad lusk and rebuilding

i had some really bad luck a bit ago and pretty much lost everyting including my moms, my last harvest and my glass peices and most of my equipment. does anyone know of any programs to help a brother get back on his feet? im slowly rebulding and have managed to get some decent genetics inclucing platinum og, and royal kush. both are doing really well and i have enough to keep some for mom so i can keep the genetics. unfortunatly i run a medical co-op and have people counting on me for meds and right ow i only have a 2 light grow going. im completely out of meds now and what i have growing will barely cover my needs as well as my wife's we go through about a half pound a month so if i pull three to four lbs off this ill only have 2 extra to give out to my patients. sux. as bad as it is going without myself i feel really bad about some of the other members. i have a number of disabilities but am still able to garden which cant be said for all of the members.im going to invest my money in equipment so i can get back on track but that still leaves me without medicine. sux. any advise or am i just screwed?

I would imagine your screwed..peeps are always around when things are a rocking but when it gets bad everyone disappears quick.....I had to start over recently too...only one person stepped up....yeehaw

i feel that. im quickly learning who my true friends are and those who hang around because its in their self interest. like you said, when i was rocking and steadily donating my time and energy as well as meds everyone was my "bro" now shit hits the fan and im all on my own with the exception of a few people and they arent in the position to help. those who can help choose to help themselves. i cant even count how many people i got started and gsave them opportunities by lending equipment out, giving some away and teaching the ins and outs of both indoor and outdoor set ups. where are they now? doing there own thing only through the help of others and arent helping me at all or say they will help but when i call its always " oh bro super bad time, so busy, etc. excuses to ease their own conscience.

its all good ill slowly rebuid and be back on track after this years outdoor is vended. then ill have the scrilla to do what i need to do and set up my 14 light grow again. its just lots of little things add up and they are must haves like intake fans, a control panel, box timers, extension cords, nets and stakes plus the ballasts and hoods (im thinking of going with the new double ended bulb/ 1,000 watt balast set ups. they have a 5x5 footprint instead of a meter squared so i would need less of them and the bulbs last almost 2 years compared to a 4 run year set up.. may bumb it up to 5 runs in the next 12 months to help make up. the big thing is my genetics collection. so many elites that in some cases took me years of hunting and networking to get. i know some of those cuts arent around anymore except to a few people i gave moms to. im praying they still have my wide leaf pure kush, ogkb gsc 2.0, gg4 from josie himself, stardawg, cherry ak and my purple kush cut that was amazing and the best purple strain ive ever tasted and its medicinal effects are superb for the end of the day or pain. my pre 98 bubba and so cal master kush cuts. sigh... not to mention my collection of og, chem, diesel cuts. oldschool not modern recreations . right now all i have is the humboldt royal kush cut which is humboldt purple kush x sour deisel x a pure affie. (this is the elite clone only, not from the humboldt seed organization or g13 labs which is just an affie x skunk #1. worlds of differences.) and purple platinum og. both are strong plants and the og is great for morning and all day where as the royal kush is for pain and sleep/ tranquilizer. i also have a herojuana og baby that may or may not live. it had mights when i got it so i dusted it with sulfur and burned some of the leaves so im hoping she will pull through but planning on it not making it. im treating it with baby gloves now. i really want a dank blueberry cut. i have been looking for that magical oldschool BB cut that tastes and smells of blueberry muffins and although potent, its very mellow. id smoke it for flavor alone as well as quality og, diesels (headband!)and chem strains. chem d and the original are my favorites. i ran a blueberry headband cut a few times a few years back and it blows blue dream out of the water in all regaurds including taste, potwency and yield as well as bag appeal. it was truly a special cut.

moving forward i will be diligent to work as hard as i can to get back on track. i doubt ill keep that many moms again because that in it of itself is a fultime gig, taking care of them, rotting cuttings and treating those beutiful girls as the should be, with lots of love a passion.

pawn shops are an excellent source for grow equipment, especially if you're in a mmj state. mmj state or not pawn shops are tops for lights fans etc, bargain them down down down on price, if you don't get the price you want do the 'walk away' routine.......

thats a great idea that i hadnt thought of. im gonnna hit the shops tomorrow. im in humboldt so im sure i can find pretty much everything at 1/4 the price of new equipment. only thing is there is no gurentee on how long they will work for. cant know what the previos owner/ operator took great care or was hard on it. def gonna buy new bulbs though. cant skimp there. i use halides to veg and hps for flower and my previous gear was switchable so hopefully i can find the same gear or similar. ill be super pissed if i find my stuff though. (we have the most crooked fuzz around...) i have all the ballasted marked in a way thats not noticable unless you know what your looking for. but in a county of 50,000 people we have like 10 pawn shops and lots of tweekers in eureka as well as mentally ill people that get a free bus ticket to eureka because there is a mental hospital here. only one in a 200 mile radious. sux because most of them end up homeless or locked up for stupid stuff like illegal camping. they have no where to go. what are they supposed to do. i feel really bad because half the homeless folks are just running through bad luck that keeps compiling and snowballing untill they are permanatly homeless and the other half is meth users, drunks, and heroin addicts that dont want help unless you are helping support their habit. its a hell of a mix and a damn shame. we have more property crime per capita than oakland or la. crazy. our jail is a huge revolving door. some people get processed 2 and 3 times a night. booked, printed and out the door only to get picked up again an hour later. in a way our underground market (cannabis enables humboldt to exist. take that away and things will change fast. most growers here are very anti legalization because of fear of big pharma and big tobacco to come in and corner the market. our saving grace is the pride we put into out work and the excellent quality of cannabis produced that commands respect. just bnecause your in humboldt dosnt make you an expert. we still have to work hard to pull off whats become synonymous with humboldt and mendo. top shelf ganja, irie heights, and vibrations of positivity. one love, families of growers including 3 generations of farmers working the hill. kids and new school, oldschool and true oldschool, cats been working the hill for 50 plus years. the old timers always have primo headstash! the new kids try but have a lot to learn. some people think they can just move here and kill it. well, yes and kno. if you have connections and know what your doing (have experience ) you can rock it. but kids that come out expecting an easy harvest and get out on the hill and go to pieces. ive literally seen kids melt and beg for a ride back to town. once your up there there is 15 hour work days, hard back breaking work, very little plumbing if any, no tv, or commodities you have at home. to me its life as its supposed to be. ive met and made some of the best people iv eever known out there. some of the worst and grediest too. this one dude straight up buried 400lbs so his ex couldnt sell it. thats messed up. it was bucked down but not trimmed except for water leaves so its not going to cure to well unless he digs it back up soon. i would think it would mold because the cold and moisture but if he did it just to screw his ex i guess it dosnt matter. (they were together at the bginning of last season but some messed up shit went down and home skillit got super agro. at least he didnt shoot her. people disapear all the time. especially young kids with no ties to people in the area.

so yeah it could be worse!

Whoa! Lucky you! I'm thinking that 75% or more of the equip in the pawn shops up there are from the short timers that thought they could make it big in Humboldt, they get their asses handed to them before their 2nd crop is in and they're pawning their stuff to make a midnight exit owing everyone from the power company to the landlord.

Take your time and shop around thoroughly, there should be a lot of 'like new' grow stuff out there. Don't be tempted to meet folks off of CraigsList unless you bring along a friend or two, too many ripoffs these days, and it's very tough to judge the quality of used stuff on eBay imo.

if the cops took your gear you can bet its gonna get auctioned off...I bought back a bunch of my friends stuff once for him...if tweekers got it,,, its either at their dealers pad,the pawn shop or on craigslist....yeehaw...craigslist has lots of gear too for sale...sounds like a dream area to me to live..i visit that area atleast once a year on my migration around cali.......but I am full on redneck...need a helper???/ lol....I spent a lot of time living off the grid before and thrived....all I need is a dog to watch my back...currently have a nice guard dog...she don't take no shit ...your area is so beautifull which is why I go,,,,, well along with its on my way to getting happy....love me some steelhead...hang tough you will pull through....I have done shitloads of stuff through craigslist with zero problems,,, but people tend to not fuck with me ...people seem to know whats what..like I will fucking kill you before I let you fuck me over on a deal....nobody takes my stuff while I am there and alive....
