bad looking clones and mum

hi all, please check the pictures in the above album, the first 3 are of some clones of the plant in the last 2 pictures and picture number 4 is a unknown plant ive grown from seed but showing similar problems.

they are all in a mix of john innes no1 and perlite which is a seed starting mix. and i allways leave it to stand for about a month and flushed through with distilled water to try and take any heat out of the mix.

the clones have been watered with distilled then i switched to tap water left to stand for a few days about 1-2 weeks ago. i noticed some signs of yellowing /browning about 2 weeks ago and they dont seem to be growing alot. I gave them a light feed of biocanna trace mix yesterday incase it was a deficency but im just not sure if its that or they are burning?

the last 2 pictures are the mum. it is a couple of months old but has never been 100% health and lately im noticing lots of browning ive fed it with biocanna bio vega and bio flores through the stages as its a re-veg. about a week ago i re-potted it into a slightly smaller container as im pushed for space and i also thought if i chopped the root mass down it might encorage new growth.

any help would be excellent as im getting really flustrated, and dont know if they are starving or burning to death

Looks like some stuff might be getting locked out via pH. Definitely showing some signs of deficiency.

Hi,

I think you'd better have to get the mum healthier to have vigorous clones.

For your mum you have to urgently roots-trimm and transplant her in a rich substrate !

ok ill transplant and chop her roots then, the clones have rooted well so could the bad health of the mother cause them to have a harder life? when you say rich substrate what kind of mix do you think?

When I said a richer substrate I was thinking to a substrate richer than a mix for seedlings and cuts. I can't advice you a particular mix, I'm french and I've never ever heard about JOHN INNES soil mixes and don't know what you could buy at your shop. The best soil mixes I have experienced are Cellmax as n°1 and Plagron as n°2.

About the clones, healthy is better but you can make poor cuts on a maltreated mum which can become beautiful plants. In your case I think you have to urgently transplant them in a bigger container because they seem to be very hungry. You can had a root stimulator to help them to colonise the new substrate.
