Background Checks

I've been working on a food truck for over a year it's been a blast, but I've recently had an opportunity to get on board with a delivery company as a courier

At the open orientation the application stated that. I must pass a 15 year background check I smiled and filled it out. I was doing the math as I was leaving. Arrest and conviction was over, sentence (just a year) and probation was under the 15 year time frame.

Two weeks later they E-mailed me that I passed. I've been running deliveries for a week now.

My question is about employers and what info are they actually privy to?

mazel tov on slipping through the cracks. what they know depends on what they ran.

some generic 2 bit website that charges $10 a month for unlimited reports might not show up things that old. an FBI check on the other hand likely would.

as i understand it, many courts still have not digitized their records. if the records are still entirely in paper form, they would need to know what jurisdiction to check. also, some courts do not keep records past 7 or 10 years.

good luck!
