Baby Formula

Hey all , I was recently eating breakfast and was reading the ingredients on the back of a furmula can (soy base ). Has anyone here ever played with it in a nute mix ? Other than spoiling if not flushed out between feeding , do you think there could be anything bad from this ? I plan to put 1 tbs per 3 gal of water , and cut back a bit on regular nutes . Im gonna try it for a couple plants and see what happens. Was just wondering what you people might think ? I am not having any nute problems that Im looking to solve I am just curious as the formula has many useful minerals in it. Ill try to keep up on posting what happens but I am a lazy bastard at times lol .

Peace

baby formula is for humans.... seems like you might find more of the nutrients a plant needs in the many plant food products available :D hey you never know i gues... see what happens.

Well I told ya I was lazy in keeping posted . Any way as I stated I am not having a problem with nutes at all. I am just trying this out , no reason .
Two plants that I have fed the mix ( 1Tbs. dry formula to 1/4 strength Fox farm nutrients ) are doing very well . There is really no noticable difference from the others , but its still early. My connection sucks but I will upload some pics if any odd results turn up. Ohh yeah mix iis in 2 1/2 gals. water.

Put the baby formula into the baby and the plant food into the plants. There are genius growers and botanists in the world. I'm sure that the nutes you can buy are top of the line for what your plant needs. Plant food has what plants need. Would you consume plant food? Why would your plant want to consume your baby's food? Perfect example of K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid)! Good luck!

Man baby formula is like $15 a can where im at. I wouldnt spend that kind of money to feed my plants baby formula. UnleSSperhaps u r using free formula from the WIC program? I still wouldnt use it even if it was free. I got like 5 cans left over from our baby, but hes on milk now. I think ill pass on the formula deal, unless of course u make some miraculous discovery!

STAY HIGH!

Hey Stinkymutt!
As long as you won't kill any strains you got going, experimenting is what we where placed on this earth to do.

Experimenting is what Im doing here . Yes furmula is expensive , a 12 oz can is $15.00 and no its not free. Our daughter drinks more milk now than formula , and you can see at 1 TBS a week I dont feel like Im robbing her food supply. I agree there are perfectly good plant foods that do the job and most likely do it better. I will say though that if this works out as a good source of mineral enhancment , it would be ALOT easier to explain a can of formula In the truck than a box of Miracle grow (while on a wayyy back road) . But so far no ill effects and no great effects. I am feeding one M39 and one Gumble Bum fron H3ad this mix.

Hey there, I took some pics today. I managed to delete the Gumble Bum photo somehow but will take another soon. I am having a small issue with PH I think but am gonna test soil tonight. I have very pooor water that i have to check the PH frequently . I have been neglecting this for a couple of weeks so its my own doing. :spank:

Hello all,

I use dry milk myself for about 10 months now and have great results.

I use a ewc/guano/kelp/molasses teas every watering and I add tbsn/liter of dry milk. The milk was initailly a surplus out of date bag so I looked up its nutritional data and I saw the amino acid and mineral data I thought why not.

http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts-C00001-01c202J.html

I add the milk to the tea just before I use it on the plants. My thnking on it lately brings me to conclude that the benificial micro-organisms that are cultivated inteh tea while brewing will break down the nutritional componants in the milk in the soil making them available to the plants.

In addition, I use alaska fish skweezin's and EJbloom as suppliments and to adjust pH down...my teas always bubble up to high 8's. I also use apple cider vinegar to drop pH.

So, milk in my program has been a benifit to me. In addition, I bought enough dry milk for 16 bucks to last a year so it is not very expensive.

My gramps swore by it now that you say that P.H. ? I was taught that its an old wives tale but I feel that there must be something to it or they wouldnt have bothered feeding them good milk .

Hey again , Minds eye what ratio do you mix it in your tea? I have noticed a slight difference in the 2 plants. They are stretching a bit more but are looking like they will fill in when done going up ! Other than that not much difference (which is not a bad thing ) I will get off my arse and load some pics this weekend.
