Babies outgrowing my cab

OK, I may have a problem, I think that my ladies may out grow my cab before flowering is over, double c22/24 Lowes version with 1K Hortilux. Right now they are about 20 in and on their 5th day of flower, 36 days from seed, indika dominate strains with a 55, 60 day flower time. They only have about 28in of grow room left giving enough clearance for light not included in the 28in, with that I have about 38in all together. 2 thoughts to possibly control the situation. 1. I was going to move them from the 2g pots into 3g pots because the roots look like they will be bound in about another month or less and I am thinking that if I just leave them that it will slow down vertical growth, but I don't want to significantly ruin bud production with any root bound issues.
2. I was thinking about doing a little light bondage/LST, but I am not sure how this will work out since they are already in flower.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Whenever i grow from seed i always end up topping them...girls from seed always seem to grow straight up for me...cuttings from a mother seem easier to handle...or another way would be to bend the tops down...or scrog the grow.

Yep, either top em or bend em down and tie em up. You could also flower them in like a 2-3 gallon pot like you said, they will stay small. You may have some problems though, like they will need to be watered more often, etc. Just remember from now on, that they usually stretch atleast 2-3 times taller in flower.

Thanks for the input folks. Hope to not have to do much, but I figure in this next 2 weeks I will know if I have to start tying down. Luckly I am getting a couple mothers going after this run so I will be running clones after this.

I wouldnt top them at 5 days 12/12 you can tie them down instead but I dont think you're going to have much problem unless its an awful stretchy indica.I probably wouldnt transplant either unless I found myself having to water every other day or god forbid every day

Do you have the shelf in the cab still? I had to remove mine for more vertical room.

How tall are they now? Like i said they will stretch 2-3 times there size usually. You may be ok as long as it's a mostly indica strains and it's under 14 inches tall or so. Good Luck.

I took the shelves out of both cabs. The girls were 15in when I switched over. They are mostly an indika strain, one is pure indika, Biggie Small from the Doc and Alpha 13 a SkunkxBigBud. I have really good temps I can get them as low as 78 and by the end of light cycle they may shoot up to 85 and that is in an area a little smaller than 4x4 without AC. I could put them about 7in from the tops, but I keep them about 10in so not to bleach the top kolas and to keep a larger FT print. Thanks for the input folks. Skelitor where did you get your Block head from?

You may be ok, depending on how much they stretch. Keep the light as close as possible without hurting the plants, that should help a little with the stretch. The alpha 13 will probably stretch more than the biggie smalls because it's most likely at least 50% satvia as big bud is around 50% sativa, and most skunks are usually 50-75% sativa.

I got my blockhead from spice of life heavens stairway quite some time ago,its definately one of the best and I've grown a ton of 150 dollar strains.The best erb I've grown is Rez. sour diesel but you're looking at 80-85 days normally thats too long for me lol
