B.F. Dr. Grinspoon genetics

Hi, I'm growing a B.F. Dr. Grinspoon and I was wondering what it's genetic background is.

Has anyone ever seen where it comes from or if it's a landrace?

I'm new here, well sort of, and I don't know shit about cannabis. I've grown tobacco, poppies and recently (last 3 years) cannabis.

I don't do these forums often because I frequently don't understand the jargon used.

I doubt it's a landrace. They don't all look like the picture. I grew 2 neither looked like the string of pearls plant in the picture, one was a pretty standard looking sativa the other was a very unusual stumpy indica. The inice one was garbage

If anything it could be related to an old strain call quaze.

According to **********, Dr. Grinspoon comes from a Reeferman strain called Senor Garcia which contained Mexican, Thai and Panamanian sativas.

I remember Quaze... Those 2 Dutch guys were doing Quaze before Grinspoon appeared, not sure if they sold it to Barneys, or Barneys ripped it off

IIRC it was thought to be a freakola Neviles Haze Pheno

I tend believe more to the story that Dr Grinspoon is a freaky Neville's Haze pheno rather then Senor Garcia (Oregon Purple Thai X Panama Red)
I've always seen Grinspoon buds to be pale green with orange hairs, if it would really have parents like Panama Red and OPT (which is the ancestor of DJ Short's Blueberry lines) I would find a bit strange than none of the phenotypes I've seen don't have any purple/reddish traits
Just my 2 cents, anyway good luck for your grow, it's awesome stuff, actually one of my favourites, if not my favorite Sativa mainly for its wonderful effects on the mind, I'm always happy to see someone's keep it growing despite the long flowering time and the relatively small yields

Barney's farm did take material from RM, not going into any discussion if they grew from seed etc, so it could stand to reason that they got this from his otp x panama.
