Autopilot Geenhouse Controller

I just purchased an autopilot master greenhouse controller. To controll my window banger 8kbtu, dehumidifier, and co2.

The controller is only rated for 14.2 amps and I am running about 23 amps between my a/c-7.5amp, dehumidifier-7amps and a 1k 9amps.

The controller will not be controling the light.

My ? is can I make another box with a relay and or a contactor to wire up so the autopilot can send the signal viatrigger cable to the relay and and turn the a/c-dehumidifier on.

I will be running romex 10/2 or 3 from my main panel to a 30amp breaker in the box with the relays and contactors. The a/c will have its own breaker and so will dehumidifier also.

I need to know what relay i should buy. and where to look for an enclosure to fit all the hardware in it.

Also this will all be run on 120v

Open up your autopilot and checkout how it controls the socket for the dehumidifier, then you can go from there. If it uses a relay to control it, then, you can connect another 120V relay)Relay #2) that closes from the 120v relay (#1)from the autopilot. Relay #2 would already have a differnet 120v source so it will not be going through the autopilot. Keep in mind that if you do this, 23 total amps on a 15 amp socket coming from the wall will not work.

Fucking sensor flashes green and orange light that is in the tent. This is going to fuck up my night cycle

Hydro thanks for the idea but the sensor has a built in fan so I can't block air flow to the sensor

Any other ideas?

Why the fuck would they put flashing light in the sensor where the señor is going to be next to the plants

Bummer.

Most people running greenhouses aren't running plants that sensitive to light? Not sure.

Any way you can tape a carboard light-trap to it? Leave air-flow, but still block the light. Had to do with most of my window a/c units to date. :)

Do not touch anything in the controler mate.
Use expanders instead ! That's why they have been designed for. Google pxm1(110v) or pxm2(220 ), for example !! (sentinel products)

The controler will just "trigger" the expander, which will have the AC (for example) connected to it .

Nah... I make them myself. (sorry, was offline for a few days. Hehe)

Basically you need a box with 2 baffles in it. One that comes down about 55% from the top and one that comes up 55% from the bottom. They overlap (blocking the light) but don't touch (allowing airflow)

Spray the inside with flat-black spraypaint and it won't reflect light through. :)
