Automated watering system??

Does anyone here use an automated watering system? Something that would put out a decent amount of water but not flood the pots. Im not familiar with drip irrigation but I don't want water constantly dripping in the pots.

I was hoping this forum actually had good people and not smart ass dickheads that don't know the answer to something and give a retarded ass reply, your answer is the perfect example. Fuck this place.

Easy now... They're not what you think you want but blumats give excellent results. They don't flood the pots at all. Huge discussion here-

I had no idea how well they work until I tried 'em. Kinda the holy grail of auto watering systems.

As you are not happy with the replies, perhaps you should consider that your question is pretty vague

Things I need to know before I can answer (and should be obvious to you, the OP)

*what size tables, including height of side walls
*what type of pots
*what medium in the pots
*what size rez
*what size rez pump

You will need to test, using a common deep cycle timer, to set the schedule

idk dude ur pretty lazy if you wont even do the smallest amount to see what type of systems there are or what you want. his answer wasnt being a smart ass it was pretty basic so you can get some solid info then come back with ?s as to not waste peoples time
.
there are tons of good people here but calling us dickheads and then saying fuck this place isnt going to get you any help.. remember we dont owe you anything but we do help like minded people that respect one another.

now with that said if you can actually provide info with your current setup and what your trying to do you will likely get a much better response. the more info the better response. good luck hope its an eye opener for ya

Google: picos manifold ic mag.
.. It's one of the threads I read when looking into a auto watering system aka as a drip system ... I just use a 3/4 manifold ( rectangle) with 1/4" drip lines open ended. 700 gph pump, 8 sites per 4x8..Set my pump to water twice a day for a minute n ramp it up from there

I say to do a google search because the search function on ic sucks.. If u did google it.. The first hit will be an ic mag thread with a great tutorial on building an auto watering system. The thread is already on this site but this is the easiest way to find it.
Do what u want, I'm sorry u feel ur being treated poorly. It's the Internet, people r mean.

I hope u have a wonderful day and someone takes the time to post a pictured tutorial on building a drip system/auto watering system right to this thread.. Even tho others have taken the time and energy to put that tutorial into other pre existing threads.
U deserve that kind of service from anonymous ic members because ur a real special guy... It's just not gonna be me. I got shit to do.. I rest easy knowing I pointed u in the right direction, all u have to do is type 4 words into google and press enter.. Then click on the first hit that comes up..

its trivial, but not as easy to build as say... an ebb and flow table or what ever.

what you basically need is an irrigation controller and a decent pump capable of reasonably high pressures. id recommend a cheap diaphragm pump coupled to an accumulator and pressure regulator.

the pump is controlled by a cheap pressure switch, identical to those that are used in small water wells.

the timer simply sends power to solenoids which open up and flow pressure regulated water to what ever dripper scheme you have.

reccomend netafim drip emmitters. excellent quality imo.
