I did some Lowryder Seeds. So i got the F1 generation. What happens now when i cross a girl of F1 generation with a male from F1 Generation. Does the seeds of F2 Generation got all autoflower?
Hey cap'n. I havent done this myself, but word on the street is in the definite affirmative. As long as they are both autoflowers, the trait will/should remain dominant.
Lowryder is not an F1 gen to begin with, so even though those seeds you got were "new" they were not an "F1" which is the first crossing between two specific and genetically distant parents. Lowryder is an inbred stabilized line and it is true breeding so as long as it is not outcrossed the traits will for the most part remain the same with slight variations in some offspring due to the mixed genetic background. I also made more seeds from the original lowryder's and they were exactly like the parents they came from. So yes they will be autoflowering for certain.
thx SOTF420, good to hear
but when i'm now crossing the lowryder i got, for example with some diesel ryder or blueryder, the following gen would be the f1? Parents are both auto, but totally different. am i right with that?
They would be F1's yes, although still somewhat genetically related if they originate from Lowryder parents for their auto traits. Crossing two full auto strains SHOULD result in all autoflowering offspring but anything is possible with the genetic recombinations. There could be rare phenos that show up that favor some of the original non-auto strain in the genetic make up of the newer auto strains.
I think if you are crossing two stable TRUE autos - that will flower under 24 hours light eg. LR2 and Dieselryder I think it's pretty safe to say you would see 100% AF in your F1 generation.
