Auto Question ?

I have an auto that has been on 20 / 4 cycle for about 6 weeks now

It only has about 2 weeks left ,

Even though its an auto strain would it benefit if i cut the light cycle down these last 2 weeks ? like down to 18 / 6 or 16 / 8

will it throw out more resin like photos do at the end of their life cycle ?

Thanks for your replies on this and sorry if it might be a dumb question , this is my first auto ( Snowryder )

under 150 hps

If you have a "true" auto flower it will start flowering on it it's own even under 24/0...

Not a dumb question at all.

Stay with 20/4. Auto's need a lot of light, and yes, the buds will swell as she ripens. Use the 8 weeks as a guide not an absolute and let your plant tell you when she's ready. At 6 weeks you should be well into flower, finishing stretch, and getting more odor and it won't be long now so best of luck to you.

Hope this helps. I'm new too ;)

yeah the 8 weeks should definitely be a guide i used to cut mine at eight but recently I've been letting them get nice and ripe 10 weeks + and the weight and flavour is much improved.
leave her till she yellows its well worth it.

ok thanks you all

i have another auto that i just started

so would it be best to just run her 24/7 so she can have light all the time or stay with 20 / 4

thanks again

I have some autos running at 18/6 first week germination and plan to put them under 20/4 light when I transplant/move them under a hid light. I had the same idea as Elsweeto, give them lots of light but not too much, so I will keep them at 20/4 from that point I think. What's your feed/schedule like for the autos you're running? Thinking I will try SGS' feed schedule until I can decide on a dry mix. Good luck (and yields) with your next auto.

You only have about a week or so left, right? I'm with the others. Just stay 20/4. From what I've read, posters are somewhat divided over whether to go dark the last 24 or whatever hours.

I'm hitting mine with 12ml bio bizz bloom and 12 ml top max per half litre with the occasional addition of alga mix to the water.
24ml per half litre sounds like a lot but they can take it easily.

I also feed them epsom salts after the first full moon of they're flowering. Has anyone else noticed that your plants are thirstier during the full moon?
