I looked up weather in Sacramento area. Even though 70's in day, 37-39F is just stressing the plant. However the average in your area....Feb. 60's low 40's

Too, if you wait until mid- February....more light, the lows will climb into the 40's. (Generally speaking).

Do you have the means to start them inside? Veg until they begin to show puberty.Building a cold frame might be the solution.....transfer the plants in cold frame after 4-5 weeks. If really cold/foggy, you can bring them in or cover up with tarp.

This should probably be a test run for you; meaning don't plant all your autos at one time.

Personally, I'd wait until late Feb, early March. Plants don't thrive when roots are cold. Think of yourself in 40+- F soil temp, feet buried to mid-shin. Shiver me timbers!!

Yep, better to wait until mid March....better yield, more light and warmth.

If out in march should h as rvrst end of may correcect....

Depending on what strain....anywhere from 60-75 days. Larger super autos run between 75-100 days.

Hearing experiences from those living in temperate climates such as S. TX or S. CA....results were defeating if planted in Jan-Feb. Most by starting in end of Feb or mid March had larger more robust harvest.

If you are starting in March....go with an indica auto hybrid....hardier. Wait until it's warmer (April/May) to grow sativa dominant autos. With autos you can start every 20-25 days and have a perpetual harvest....5-6 grows in a season.....April-Oct (generally). Maybe add 1 more harvest if in semi-tropical climate.
