Auto LR2xAKxBB Stealthy BudBox

These plants are from the seeds that came from crossing JD's LR2 and LowLyfe's Auto AKxBB..

Seeds came from cross-breeding both the AKxBB and LR2 some tall others short .. the LR2 in general was shorter than the AKxBB. Those seeds were planted and cross-bred again, resulting in the seeds I'm growing with today.

My soil is just Miracle Grow Organic Choice, with almost equal perlite and a few handfuls of Fine Grade Dolomite Lime.

The Cabinet has an S&P TD125 Blower, a 150w HPS bulb with a Bake-A-Round cooltube on chains, ducted through a canfilter 2200. I'm using a PC fan for air circulation around the plants.

Greetings, interesting seed w/ an intriguing lineage. After looking at the plants, Im wondering, did you prune off the fan leaves?

Thanks

Unfortunately the larger plants were started in smaller containers with soil that didn't have any dolomite in it and the largest fan leaves got PH burn, turned yellow and dried up crunchy.

The large plants since been re-potted in soil with dolomite added, and I'm more actively monitoring the PH and trying to keep the soil around 6.5. Since re-potting, the new fan leaves are a nice green color, the plants have grown thicker, and are looking much better overall.

The small plants are being grown in what I hope to be the correct soil mix, and with the correct PH levels, so I'm hoping they'll do a bit better.

Such a nice clean cab.

I wonder if those seedlings wouldn't benefit from a bit of a boost in height, say a few books or a box underneath? Are they getting a bit stretchy?

I was just getting ready to mix up some miracle grow and perlite. Have you any trouble with the perlite all working to the surface?

Raising the plants up is a good idea, I've done it in the past, as well as lowering the light, but I left the larger plant about the same distance away when it was small, so I'm leaving these low to hopefully help cause a bit of stretch, then if I'm lucky they'll fill in between the nodes for a nice top cola. In the past it seems I've gotten larger yields from the taller plants, so I'm going to give it a run like this and see what happens.

Some of the perlite definitely likes to work its way up to the top, but so far there's been plenty left within the soil itself to still give good drainage.

I appreciate the compliment and the good advice.
