Autoflowers (regular)
I Thought Only Females Flowered

i thought auto flowering was just that you didn't have to switch your light over to 12/12 at all...but don't quote me on that

Longhair:

Males and females both "flower." Males produce pollen sacks and pollen whilst females produce calyxes and pistils with which to catch the pollen. The female flowers are what we aim for.

Autoflower refers to the fact that they do not require 12 hours of darkness in order to begin/finish this process.

Feminized means the seeds have been created in such a way (through chemical or another process) so that you will almost certainly have no males from the seeds.

Regular beans still have the 50/50 chance of being male or female.

It is just the same as any strain of sativa or indica or hybred, the seeds are available as regular, which means the resulting plants grown from those seeds will be both male and female plants. And feminized seeds will only produce female plants.

Like Hydro Cabbage said, they can grow with 24 or 20 or 18 or whatever light schedule you want to run....even 12/12. Thier transition to flowering is based on total time growing not the photoperiod.

Then Wouldn't Feminized Be Preferred? Or Is It A Personal Choice? Are There Allot Of AFs That Are Feminized? As You Can Tell I'm New To AFs. I Know Now That It Would Be Better For Me Is To Do Feminized.

I would prefer standard seeds, that you you can take the best male and female, and make more seeds. You can always use colloidal silver to make your own fem. seeds.

I am curious if you could also use colloidal silver on feminized plants to self pollinate the plants. Would the seeds have a higher tendency to hermi?
