Hey folks, I have been growing with varying levels of success for a few years now but definitely consider myself a beginner still.
I am about to invest in my first fully functional indoor setup (250 in a small 20*36*64) tent after a few attempts (bills and responsible shit got in my way! grr!) and will be using my rubbermaid tubs for a veg box.
With that in mind, I want to get something going in there once I am set up that will put me on the emerald path to ganja inflected bliss ASAP. As I had such an AWESOME experience with the seed boutique and now have some Blue Mystic as well as ICE waiting, and not to forget my Mandala Safari Sampler 5 pack of freebies...I want to get an auto-flowering strain in while I start a couple mothers of the BM or ICE.
After reading the entirely entertaining thread that was started by MDanzig when he released the Sour 60, I think I am going to give it a try. If I can get a 1/4 lb. of bud that would WAY more than hold me over until I can get a perpetual grow going with my other genetics.
So, all of this exposition finally brings me to the meat of this post;
can I collect some pollen from a male S60 and fertilize a female to produce more Sour 60 seeds like I might do with a regular plant? Would these plants be likely to show similar characteristics to the mother? Would it be just a matter of flowering the male (perhaps in my rubbermaid setup) and fertilizing one of the female plants? would this just be a waste of good bud since I am sitting on a couple of packs of nice genetics?
I would assume this is doable, but AFs just seem a little alien to me still.
