Auto flower question

So I wanna do 10 auto's in a cabinet, either in coco or hydro haven't decided yet.

My question is can I put 5 plants in, on a 12/12 schedule, and then in about 5 weeks put another 5 in?

My idea is to have a 5 week cycle rotation, to keep the supply up. If any of this makes sense lol. They will be short flowers, thinking lowryders. Just to get some quick supply.

Autoflowers, given their genetic nature, can be on any light schedule at any given time as far as I know. You can run 24/0 or 20/4 and I am pretty sure that anything below 18/6 hurts the yield potential.

I see no reason why your cycle rotation would cause any problems, as long as your canopy allows the seedlings to get light.

Correct-o-mundo. And really, there is not an appreciable difference when doing24/0. 18/6 is a good figure withoutcompromising plants.

Depends on light, depends on how well plants respond to coco or hydro. Every 35 days successive is good. Low Ryders usually finish in 62-70 days depending on thrichome preference.

Thanks for the advice!! It's a pretty big cabinet. One of those big black steel ones.

So low Ryder's finish that quick in hydro? Or soil.

I plan on running LED panels. With small UFO ones over the seedlings. I've seen successful low Ryder grows with cfls, so think led will be good:)

The finishing depends on numerous variables- how successful you are in growing, if there is adequate lumens/light. But yes, generally 65-70 days give or take.

I´ve done a few auto grows indoors and personally I like 20/4 -let´s the plants rest a bit and maxes yields.

i read somewer there was some study done if your starting from a seed and you start it on a 12/12 cycle like with a hydro setup you can almost get almost 1g per wattage...and the thing will grow 1 long thick budd...depending on strain but ill find the link on this website

Not sure about that info. 18/6 or 20/4 good regimen all along. What makes up yield first is genetics, lumens, a good grow medium, light fertilization so you don't burn plants, esp. in seedling/veg stage.

Or try it and see...................................................................

there thes link read this i wouinder how an auto would do in this cycle.

Yeah, that's photoperiod, not autoflower. Autos have such a short span to develop roots, grow bloom, & best to deliver best light source, quality medium, etc.

mr f.- go ahead try it, let us know how plant, quality, yield fares. Only way to know is try it.

Having grown autos for 8 years, I'll stick with 18/6 or 20/4.

Im so new to this. I only have a couple harvests under my belt. but yes i am going to try the 12/12 from seed cycle with my next project im going to do in a old fridge... just curious houw did the auto flower strains come out? is it not true that some places near the equador these strain were first found.. so the strain were used to only geting so much light per day wich made them flower on there own? im sorry about the grammer..lol

An autoflower is a photo, crossed with Ruderalis (very low potency, grows in far north, where season is very short). Strongest AF's are about 17% THC, Photo's about 28%. That is the tradeoff.

With AF's, any mistakes are permanent, and effects yield and quality. Photo's, you make a mistake, and can fix, and run them longer.

There are larger AF's, called super AF's (AutoMazar, ThinkDifferent, etc.), and run 90 days.

Must agree with you, LocDog- if you damage your plant,
(that includes light deprivation, heavy fertilization, inadequate air flow, mediocre light lumens) it takes longer to recover or does not finish well.

Photperiods are much more forgiving. Planting in original container, not having to transplant due to root bound plants makes a world of difference. And you can low stress train lower branches.

We and others trying/repeating our seed strains use between 3-5 gallon containers/bags. Sure you can grow in Big Gulp cups, 1 gallon containers- yield will be far less, same with 12/12 lighting schedule.

If you want to obtain the best yield possible, I suggest you use
~12-19 liter (3-5 gallon) pots/containers. Your plants will love you for more room.

And not all autos range in 15-18%. We've tested a several of our strain hybrids and they are 20-23%. Not ALL autos are in the teens for thc.

Too, more 'super autos' are hitting the market.....and some are considered semi-super...crossed with quicker maturing photoperiod with an auto.

canna feed schedules for autoflowering!

canna feed schedules for autoflowering!

Hi to all of you.I've just started my first grow (5× +Speed and 1x Cheese) in coir under 400hps and I need help about feeding schedules using canna fertilize. I'm sure it can't be same coz my girls only takes 7weeks from seed to harvest. Just started 5th day and had a second feeding with 9.5A and 9.5B + rhizotonic and not so sure when to go to next phase and then how to know when to get to following one. HELP, PLEASE! Here is a pic of my girls, the tallest one is 9cm and the lowest one - 6cm

That's what a lot of breeders will tell you...7 weeks..seed to harvest. Depending on how well you manage the coir and nutrients, light, etc., it could be 6 weeks, or 8....or flop.
