I now a grower that planted a few hundred auto's in between rows of soy beans last year. They were well hidden in the 300 acre field and he harvest 87 females with an average of 1.8 oz's per plant. Thats a hell of a yeild for 10 weeks of effort and im ready to go.

Problem:

I dont understand the difference between auto's like "Blue Streak" and plants of a seemingy similar nature such as Dutch Treat or Brenda's skunk. I grew those 2 some years ago and they finished, after being planted in may, in late july, early sept, but much longer than 10 weeks. More like 14-16 weeks from seed to harvest.

How are these plants different? They are given a finish date of early sept, but the auto's say 10 weeks?

Do the Dutch treats and Brenda's contain Rud and are they auto's?

They seem to, (at least some of the pheno's do) be responsive to photoperiod, even if very sensitive to changes.

Finally, any strain suggestion for a soy bean field? Any consistently well performers that show a little hardiness, average potency and a moderate(2 oz) yeild?

Toker, take an afternoon and read through all the great knowledge that the Autoflower pioneers have written about in these threads. We are so fortunate to have these guys doing the grunt work of breeding and then bringing the fruits of their efforts to us in the form of their strains. Then its all up to us to run these lines out, give feedback and continually improve the whole AF movement. I know I'm onboard.
