WTF...my only 'Male'....now what?

If I understand the genetics of hermaphrodism correctly, this plant will produce only male pollen. Started as a male, and reversed to fem. Am I correct?

That said, I do not want to loose this strain as I am just starting with it, should I start to reverse one of the fems? The runty fem is way behind the others, and could serve as the seed mom...This pisses me off.

Personally I'd find another male. I wouldn't use the runt female to reverse either. That's just me though. :2cents: Tough luck chyna :(

Or alternatively isolate that plant and see if it will seeds itself...their might be XX and YY seeds... but...Could pass the hermie traits through. Was this a natural hermie or did you do something to it?

I did not do anything to it, and the sex ratio in this supposedly regular pack leads me to believe that these were mislabled. 6 fems and now one hermie sounds like fem seeds to me, and I dont Buy fem seeds.

If I had space and nothing to do I would isolate this plant and see what happens. But, I do not, and my opinion leads me to believe that only males will come of this pollen...so...I think It gets the axe. I have a crappy bluestreak male that I can make some seeds from, but I think I will just make this a smoke run, and contact the seed bank and see what they can do.

Actually, only females carry the trait of hermaphroditism. I will fully agree with DESTROY THE INFIDEL!

But let this be a warning, you have "hermie genes" in your goods. Full stop. Go to Jail, do not pass "go". Start over. Reboot. Game over. This is the "blue screen of death" in your breeding project.

True, you may, somewhere, find a male VERY susceptible to ethylene, but unless you're completely sure...

Ya, this strain is gonna get ingested, and that is about it. I hope it does not turn out to be great smoke, as it will be annoying to not be able to carry the genes forward.


I will hit some popcorn buds with a bit of BS pollen though, just to see what comes of it. For smoking purposes only now...:deadxmas:

The stoner in me has this thing drying....I shall roll its 'buds' into one big spliff, and enjoy. May taste like lawn clippings, but at least I will get some satisfaction from this freak. :muahaha:

I wish my bluestreak male looked a little better...he is the lamest looking male Ive encountered...preserving this strain in a good way just may not be in the cards.:nono:

Ahhh, but I have 6 Lovely girls with some excellent genes, and I am gonna pump em up to their fullest now that seed production is not the goal. :rasta: It is actually good that they will finish a little earlier as sensi cause.....

then there are the Sour 60's....:bigeye:

Is it not possible to spray one of the females with colloidal silver and use the pollen that it produces to pollinate another female? If I read right, that would produce a good amount of feminized seeds.

Now that you have females only, use cs and make fem seeds.

Afaik, ICC regularly makes fem seeds aswell for him to make big Fem AF-SOGs.

This was my initial thought, and why I was questioning about reversing a fem in the first post. That said, I think it is too late...by the time I get some fem pollen, the seed mom is gonna be too old to bear mature seeds. I dont wanna f*ck up yet another good fem by spraying it with silver, and then be not able to even generate any seeds, because the seed mom is too old. I just dont think this one is in the cards :noway:....I will keep the genes somewhat with the bluestreak pollen, and I truly have so damn many exciting genetics either here or on the way, that I will prolly not miss this one...although it was to be the af in my impending sativa crosses....you know, the c99 and Ace Congo....I will just have to get another sativa leaning full af, thats all.

LBH....any testers yet my friend???

That would be for outdoor, as I cannot grow good sati's where I live due to a short season....elevation thing.
