Attempt at Mini Fridge build

Peace everyone. I hope all is well and the harvest are plentiful.

I'm currently in the process of building a mini fridge grow box and tbh it's kicking my ass!! I think I messed up my door (didn't leave enough of the foam and plastic to hold the seal) and on top of that my mini fridge does not have metal on the back. Instead, it has plastic sheeting including the hump:no::no:.

So my question is this... Should I continue working on this fridge or should I start from scratch with another? I really hope someone can give me ideas on how to save this fridge. If anymore info is needed just ask.

All the great mini fridge/large fridge builders please chime in!

post pics give the guys a second and they will come in

Whats goin on HP? Thanks for responding. Here are a few pictures of my fridge in it's current state. It's measurements are 21"x21"x32". My bad for the fridge being upside down. I was working at that crappy foam and needed to flip it over.

Here's the inside of the door after majority of the foam from hell was removed. (Crappy picture I know)

This is the inside of the fridge. It also has most of the foam out.

This is the bottom of fridge door. (Remember pics are upside down. I know I know I suck? All of the plastic has been removed.

Inside portion of fridge door. All plastic has been removed from door and inside fridge. Even the part that held the magnetic seal. :wall bash:

Front of fridge

Back of fridge (hump and floor included) has plastic sheeting instead of metal which also sucks ass! What can I put on top or in place of the plastic to give my fridge more support and spots to hang lights, fans, etc.?

This is the hump in my fridge. I tried to flip it inside out but stopped before I damaged something else that i'll regret.

I'm so ready to get this thing going but right now things aren't looking too good. Well, in my opinion it doesn't. All advice will be appreciated. If I left anything out please let me know.

what is that white material spray foam? or Spackle? looks like a fun little project
Naw that's the foam insulation that was inside underneath the white plastic. It's just shredded because I used a 3" wire brush on my drill. Oh and so far this has been everything but fun lol smh.

One step closer!

‼️SMALL UPDATE(very small)-
I decided to try super gluing the magnet strip around the metal part of the door and it actually worked. Now I'm on to the next hurdle. Remember I said I had a plastic floor, hump and back wall? Well I'm thinking about taking it out completely. Is that a good idea or not? Also, the fridge is kinda flimsy now. Especially the door. What can I do to fix it? I've seens guys in other post use MDF boards. I was thinking maybe plywood? I'm totally lost at the moment. Any help would be great.

scraping all the foam off cleaning it will make an easier surface to attach any thing to. they make a flame retardant hard plastic white material its made for restaurant walls it cleans easily its like 33 bucks for a 8x4 piece idk what dimensions your working with but one sheet would probably be enough if cut correctly. for the back plywood would probly be better then the plastic stuff in the pics that looks like a cut up tote , idk what your plan for exhust and wireing lighting and stuff are but if u need to mount any thing on the back plywood would be a sturdy possibly safer option

lol i had to clean and wire and winterize an attic before my construction on a box could even begin but the handwork is worth it!

Yeah I bet that attic was a doozy. You wouldn't happen to know the name of the white plastic material you spoke of would you?

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!

So i've been working on this mini fridge a little more everyday and things are starting to look pretty decent (to me.):dance013: I purchased a sheet of 3/4" MDF board from Home Depot and had them cut it to my quadrupole checked measurements and guess what...the butt-hole in the lumber department managed to wreck my measurements:noway: I used what pieces i could and just said f*** it. I had some thin strips of wood already at the house so I cut a few pieces and glued them to the door to help with the flimsiness of it. I also added some corner (L) brackets to help with the mini fridges stability. Unfortunately, I had to run screws thru the sides of the fridge to hold the boards into position:frown: but I plan on using some type of mud to cover the screws, sanding those spots then using black rubberized paint to cover it. But here are some pictures for you guys. Oh yeah. the back is still out. I need a 1/2" piece of MDF or plywood to close it out.
