My first thought was Liquid Nail but it might get a bit messy. You could get some 1" x 2" firring strips and use the firrings strips around the perimeter of each wall holding the Mylar in place and nail it with masonry/concrete nails. Just a thought.

If the object is to not damage the walls or avoid having to drive nails in it, then you can try a hanging solution. Think hanging tapestry..

Hang some form of rigid bar or beam from ceiling and attach the mylar to that.

The best way would be to affix a furring strip then staple to that. When you staple Mylar, use a small 1/2" square of cardboard on top of the Mylar and staple thru it. This will help keep the staple from tearing all the way thru it.

Cheers!

I use the double sided tape and it works nicely. 3m makes a pretty good one and ya should be able to find it at your local hardware store.

Velcro might work, just a thought though....I've never tried it.

Glue the mylar to cardboard with contact cement then attach the cardboard to the cement wall with a little dab of rubber silicone

Why attach it to the cement when you can fix it to something else? Something movable? Something lightweight, easy to use again, easy to buy, etc. The list goes on. Heres what works for me.

Id try some 2 part 5 minute epoxy, just be sure the spots you glue on the concrete are clean... or, something I've always wanted to try, spray a light layer of 3M Super 77 and apply mylar like wallpaper :)

i would go with the silicon. the cardboard sounds like a good idea, also 3m spray adhesive(even if it dosnt work its still good to have around).

I agree that the spray adhesive like 3m super 77 would work well. The double sided tape is kinda expensive if you need a bunch.

I worked at an upholstery shop long ago when I was a young lad and this older fella was givin me shit so when he had his head in a cars trunk I sprayed his ass (the seat of his britches) with a nice coat of super 77... til it was white and frosty. Then he sat in the car on the front seat for a bit and he had a hell of a time pullin his ass off the seat later.. hehe. I have been a big fan of it since.

or ya can stand up sheets of 2" white inso from home depot, cut them tight to fit, and they'll stay where ya want them. no glue needed

I'm with CaptainJack on this one. I have always used flat white paint with great results.

If you want to use the Mylar though I say 3M spray adhesive all the way.

Is the wall dry and fairly dust free? If so, my vote would be for the spray adhesive as well. It gives you a huge sticky surface area vs. a strip of tape. I used a cheap Elmers spray adhesive to put mylar on walls years ago and it stayed well and came off the wall cleanly (that's probably not a big issue with concrete though) I'm sure the heavier 3M stuff would hold.
