Atami wilma 4 pot system

Hi all, I have purchased the Atami 4 pot system you can see it here www.atami.com. My first thought was to use coco in this system (as i have used coco in past) but now i am unsure as i might go straight hydro for the first time, what do you suggest coco or hydro? and why? I purchased this system as it said u can use 4 types of medium (soil, coco, pebbles and mapito) I cant say anythin about mapito as there isnt alot about it on here but if anyone has any info about this and would like to share it that would be gr8.
I dont know if this would help with your suggestions but... i will be growing from seed using root riot cubes.

Many thx :joint:

id say coco for stability.....maybe after a few runs on a proven method you may feel confident to run in rocks, but this requires more managment ime

Since it's a drip system, I'd go with coco. There are almost no threads about problems with coco drips, but quite a few with drips on other types of media.

Thanx Cmoon and MoleMcHenry for ur imput...

I have looked myself for threads with probs with drippers using coco and there are not that many, i do think the majority is down to common sense tho with all aspects of growng.. Im not into soil as had bad results in past, there isnt much about mapito on here so i dont wanna try somethin very little peeps have wrote about etc (even tho this does look like it would do a gr8 job) I was unsure whether to give hydro a go or stick with the coco and i think im gonna stick with the coco after ur imput....

Just one question about the drippers... would it be ok if i hand fed them until they go in their final pots then start feeding them with the drippers? would this cause probs or stress? or would it be best to get them on the drippers asap?

One more thing (and it is the last) for now lol
Do u suggest i mix the coco with perlite or leave the coco as it is? I have read conflicting things on this. (i have mixed my coco in past)

Thanks alot for ur help :joint:

I think it's fine to hand feed until you put on the drippers. I'm not knowledgable about atami wilma systems, but several ICMag members use drip tubes to deliver the drip because drip tubes don't clog like actual drippers.

As for mixing with perlite/going 100% coco, I don't really think it matters. People get good results both ways, and I'm sure you'll do great too.
