tomorrow will be 2 weeks since leaves sproued through soil. they are about 3-4" tall, green and healthy looking, w/ a couple sets of leaves. i water w/ RODI, ph of 8.0. runoff water after going through pots is 6.1, so ph adjuster in promix bx soil working. soil is 80% promix bx w/ 20% extra perlite. i will start today w/ half dose cal~mag supp w/ each watering. i want to start soon w/ pure blend grow fertilizer. i plan on feeding them once 1/2 strength. then weekly at full dose. is this a good start to a nute program to start? should i continue cal~mag throughout veg and flowering or what? i figure i need cal~mag since my water is as plain as can be with NOTHING in it.
i plan on transplanting to 2 gallon pots at 3 weeks. also once i flip to 12/12, i want to use FF big bloom. do i continue with pure blend gro fert when i add in big bloom in flowering, or drop the fert? thanks. :joint:

i would wait a few more weeks till your on your 5-7th node. Then at like 1/4 strength and move it up real slow as the plant needs it.

just bought pureblend gro fert and FF big bloom. started cal~mag today at about 40% recommended dose. will start PB within a week at 40-50% recommended dose.

I would go very light on the ferts when they are young. They probably don't need anything if the soil is good. I just went through an over fertilization thing, so I don't recommend it, unless you enjoy flushing all your plants. If they aren't showing a deficiency, I would leave them alone. Mine have gone 2 months with nothing since the near disaster, and are doing fine just living off the soil.

If you are using Promix like I think I read from you in another thread, you will need to give them a very weak fertilizer now and increase it slowly as they get larger and older. The Pormix has nothing in it at all nutrient wise. With regular soil you are not to fertilize for a while as the nutrients in the soil should be plenty for young plants, but soiless mix is a different thing all together. Just make sure you start extremely light and go up very slowly. Just be carfeul and all should be well. Hope this helps and I would love to see some pic`s when you are able to post them. Good luck.

You do not heed to give them cal-mag now, but since you have just hold off for a few more weeks. Also, be very careful with 8.0 going into your soil and 6.1 coming out. If you are not careful your soil will be at 8.0 and plants will lock up. Can't believe your water is 8.0-yikes that's harsh, but what the hay.
As stated, fert w\very small amounts. When you upcan, add 10 drops of Super Thrive and 1 tbs of big bloom per gal of water for the transplant. Water your plants with veg ferts for about 2 weeks after you go 12/12 then progress to full bloom ferts.
Do you have any other bloom ferts besides BB, if not get some because BB is super weak and is pretty much just an amendment to other flowering ferts.

thanks. i figured i would get away with every other day waterings but they get dry, not super light, but dry, and i have been watering moderately once daily. today is first day i skipped watering, misted twice daily still. how often u guys water when in 1qt pots? i think my oscillating fan blowing on them 24/7 is drying them out quicker...
