Astroboy and Humbolt bushmaster

Well after a year i'm finally retiring my AstroBoy from TGA and unfortunantly this strain is no longer available but i enjoyed it nonetheless. Also recently ran across a thread on here about humbolt bushmaster which is like superbud but without the harsh chems.
First day of flower i gave each DWC bucket 3ml per gal for 3 days. No stretch what so ever, no leaf curl or anything out of the ordinary. I am highly impressed with the ability of bushmaster to stop stretch and induce flowering. I have not noticed an increase in yeild, but stretch was my may concern anyway. I usually get about 3oz per plant dried. one thing i have had problems with the entire time i've run Astroboy is a Cal/Mag deffeciency which is the brown spots and upper light colored leaves in the pics. mostly a Cal def and i guess this strain loves calcium. Excuse the bad pics as i don't have alot of room in there to take choice shots and obviously can't move anything around, i will have better pics at harvest. I'm guessing 2 weeks till harvest






I love the trim on Astroboy and it's great for hash and oil making. The box in this pic is an example of how the fan leaves get. They get alot of triches around the edges which i hear is a characteristic of the Apollo.

Thanks, yeah bushmaster is all organic to my knowledge and i had 0 stretch. Only height i've gained is the buds swelling. I've also tried SB and was not impressed in the least.

Fella- LOL, you are 100% correct and good memory. might do one more grow in it and then it's being retired. Next one will have a bit more space. I think i've done 10+ grows in it now and there are some things i will change on the next one, nonetheless building this was well worth it.

^^^^^^That is one Sick ass custom cabinet man^^^^^^ How do you like the Astroboy in terms of quality of smoke? I have Fiesta Mix going right now so I'm sure I will have atleast a couple of Astroboy but I have identified a Conquistador and that shit really smells like watermelon.

Rudeboi, one word on astroboy........devastating. Best smell i can compare it to is cantelope or rotten fruit. Plenty of pics in my gallery on AB if you need a reference to find out if you have one. main charasterisic i have seen is 2-3 weeks before harvest she will start to grow again in terms of bud growth. The buds really start to foxtail. First run i though i had a light leak or something. Buds are not rock hard but more airy like a 50/50 hybrid. triches always form on the sides of the upper fan leaves too.
Hella Fella, i use the tumbler atleast every harvest if not more, just depends on my needs. The Astroboy trim really has me spoiled in the way of hash making lol.

Another grow down

Well i decided to chop the 3 plants today. Most triches had turned cloudy and the buds stop putting on weight. In summary i'm more than impressed with bushmaster and considering the bad Cal/mag def i had the first 30 days, I'm pleased with the results. Unfortunantly i snapped one pic before my camera shut down with no juice left. I'm hoping for atleast 4 oz




Next up is JLP's Miss Mud which is 1 week veg atm
