Hey I have been wondering whats the best "word usage" when asking your landlord about growing your meds indoor or outdoor?

not trying to be mean but "i already found another place so if you throw me out its no big deal, by the way i have a question" may be the way to go. hope things work out for you

Start by asking if they have fire insurance,in case the on line electrical advice your depending on doesn't work out.

have a "lawyer" present and talk about discrimination of medical patients if he starts to say no.

..just bluff, most people can't tell the difference when it comes to legal stuff, cuz 99% of legal stuff is BS!.

dont mention it, not even an option. i smoke and grow weed and still would never let someone else run a growup in my spot unless i was getting a nice cut...

Its winter here in Northern California at the moment so the smell isnt a issue...but summers in the valley are pretty brutal in terms of heat. I have a pretty decent grow room that needs signifigant ventilation (with hopes of expanding)... maybe my landlord wont smell me?? But SURELY my neighbors WILL....they will report to my landlord without hesitation, my neighbors are old and snobby, I dont doubt they would even call law enforcement! These are factors I will consider when my lease is up but in the mean time I dont want 2 suprise my landlord or piss him off...after all I need a good reference in order to move.

Also would like to thank you all for the helpful input!!!!!

If you tell landlord - you might as well cc: your local leo as well...

If you are legal - say fuck all, it's none of his biz.

If you are not legal - telling ANYONE is an invite for arrest, rippers, etc.

Tell no-one, say nothing - can't be clearer than that...

You make it hard for someone to "close their eyes" by confronting them directly. I am with ddrrew, best word usage is to say sorry.

Of course the old Columbo technique might work...nonchalantly bring up the subject of cannabis in a distracting conversation--and observe his reaction.

BTW...just because a person is "cool" with with it--does not mean he prefers tenants that do. Just saying....

if i rented out, i would definitely want to know if someone was doing a massive cultivation in one of my apartments/houses

if it's some guy doing a few planters and cfls or leds or something tiny then i wouldn't care honestly

if it's a real operation though, or they're trying to do some big hydro setup or anything that could potentially cause damage to my property, i'd do whatever was in my power to get the person out

if it's just for you and on a small scale and you're not about to damage the property in any way shape or form, well imho that's between you and your doctor and not my business

it becomes my business when my property incurs damage due to your messy grow op though

...anyways, i was doing it in an apartment, just kept everything real tiny and small, i had a copy of my id and medical paperwork on the inside of the small wardrobe i was growing in, i know for a fact the landlord and their maintenance people were in the apartment on more than one occasion, there was no way in heck that they could not have seen what i was doing, i don't think they said a peep though because it was very evident i was a hobbyist doing things on a very tiny scale, there was no way that i could have damaged their property with my setup, and that doctor's note right in their face

hope you get it sorted
