as frost comes to visit

Greetings all
Just wondering how many folks have managed to pull a harvest at this point and if you have what sort of genetics where you working with? personally only one plant has fully finished (and to add insult to injury it was a random seedling rather than a cross i made) but i would love to know what other strains, especially those that are available commercially, have finished so far.

I love your name. Have nothing to contribute but yeah. My hashplant I have pulled already 3 times. But they are helped out indoor first.

Here in Colorado we had a layer of frost/ice last night. Normally the first frost is somewhere in the 1st week of October. I am running Ace Seeds gear which is supposed to be cold tolerant. We shall see. It's supposed to get into the 70's today so I will check the plants later. All that work! LOL

It depends on how hard the frost is and how tolerant the strain is. I have seen frost kill a plant to where the only thing I could use it for was a hash plant and thats if you catch it early enough after a frost. A couple days after a frost forget about it it will be trash.

It also depends on how long the plants have had to harden off before the frost. If it has been warm and then there's a sudden frost, the plants will be less resistant to it. If, on the other hand, there have been several days of cold weather before the frost, the plants will be better prepared for it. The cold weather signals the plants to increase their solute levels, which lowers the freezing point of the intracellular water.
