I figure there would be a few folks who wanted to see this stuff. It comes up all over our state. The plants in the photo are at 45 north on sept 10th or a little earlier. Article says they are 12 ft tall. The police chief of the suburb is in the photo. Theres also a smaller photo of a bud in someones hand lower in the article.

I wonder if somebody could use these to breed with keep the size and earliness, and not the cbd. Infuse much needed THC they have excellent smells already.

Well these plants are better to use to make early hybrids than Ruderalis. In the past the ancestors were planted for seed, but not for marijuana, so you can't expect very easy to find ditchweed with a high THC-content.You must have the knowledge or experience to find a good pheno in the F2 to breed further. It would be nice to have some of those seeds.

I've seen some monsters in Minnesota and the popo will frack with you big time, even if it was just a joke.
We found this HUGE plant growing by itself in a fence line. Huge buds bigger than my arm(it's big). It took a PU and a chain to pull it out by the roots. We were on the road with a carnival and the electrician was a big time stoner. So we put this TREE in the back of his PU around 1am. thinking he would wake up the next morn and go Holy Sht.
Well he holy sht all rite. Around 3am the local sheriff was driving through the lot(doing his job) and seen the TREE hanging out of his truck.
This is the F.ed up part. The sheriff knocks on his trailer door and wakes him up and asks him why he has this marijuana plant in the back of his truck. He says What Plant? and the walks out and sees the plant and goes Holy Shit! I have know idea were that came from. This is were the sheriff says we need to search your RV and damnit if he didn't have a Qp(he told us he was out) and they cuff and stuff him for pos with intent.
We told the sheriff we put the plant in his truck as a joke, but he didn't care. He was out for vengeance because a carny got his 16 year old daughter prego last season.

The show bailed him out and payed all the fines(over $10.000. to clean him)

We felt so bad he was busted but we also ripped his ass for telling us he didn't have any.

I didn't know this thread kinda blew up a bit. A few days after the article came out I went out and found some huge monsters. The were growing down the side of some tracks as far as the eye could see. I got some seeds off them that way my real mission. I have a few crappy cell phone pics of huge plants in bloom. I mean 6 feet across and 8 feet tall with no help from man. Some taller but not as wide, also a lot of small ones in big groups where they've crowded each other out. I'm going to get some better shots I'll post them if you all would like.

Oh and they stink quite a bit just like reg weed, all sorts of smells.

Some were I read that allot of the best fiber strains were lost due to prohibition. The taller the plant the better the fiber. So if you can find really tall ones.one day WHEN there WILL be a demand for long fiber plants. The seeds will be worth something.

I think it would be easier to get any strain to acclimatize anywhere than to breed high potency THC plants with a decent high, taste, smell, etc out of hemp strains, which are pretty stable.
I mean if you make 100 F2 seeds maybe 4 will have slightly higher THC, you need to breed those to allow another x% to have slightly higher THC, do that over and over all the while concentrating on other factors like taste, smell, finishing times, rot resistance etc.
You could also cross it with a high THC strain but enormous effort would again be needed to stabilize the line. If it's not fully stabilized its progeny could produce all kind of weak shit.
I also don't think visible resin has anything to do with potency. Resin contains a lot more than just thc/cbd.

Oh, and not all of these fields are from the hemp era.. stupid article. I'm aware of several which originated from failed/abandoned grows - A particular one I know has thrived for 20+ years.

It doesn't get you high and at the most extreme will give you a headache but it is illegal??

Ridiculous!!

This plant(hemp) could provide so much for society but because of the special interest groups(big oil and others) it is legislated illegal. I like how the dumb ass sheriff states it wont even get you high but you will be arrested if in possession. wtf

Makes no fckn sense! They don't out law dangerous plants that can kill you with a small amount.

Pisses me off to no extent!

Nice pic static, looks sticky, I wonder what cannabinoids are contained in all that resin. How about hand rubbing or seiving some hash?

Ime hash and oil extracts from these produces a pleasan, mild, short lived effect. Not rly worth the effort. Eating's the way to go if you're bent on experimenting, again ime.

i did actually shake keif off the plant.

it was about 8 feet tall loaded with seeds, i gave about 500 to my bro

the keif was okay nothing to write home about :tiphat:

Sounds like a great place for you to plant random seeds outdoors. I wonder what would happen if you put some potent males in a field of hemp after a few generations.
