ARREST WARRANT

I meet a person who is from back east, and he has been growing for over 12 years. But, recently he has found out there is a warrant for his arrest in Alabama in connection with a grow operation that was busted. Should he go back a face the music or stay here in the Bay area? I told him to go back, fight the charges and get the warrant off of his record, am I wrong?

No way I'm going back to Al. to be put in a cage.
Does He know what they have on Him?
Was there a partner, that is now cooperating.
Can He afford a lawyer to look into the exact nature of charges?
Just so many variables, kinda hard to give good advise w/o details.

Peace; 1TT

Don't go back. Get an attorney to deal with it. They can find out what's going on, advise, and negotiate the terms of his return if needed.

There was one partner whose residence that was busted and he doesn't have any money. He found out about the warrant thru a standard background check for a job with the City. How can he find reliable employment with that stupid warrant hanging over his head?

they found 85 plants and various grow equipment

So it was the other Guys residence, then.

like guppe said, get a lawyer to handle it and if he does go back, at least He will be represented.

I would sure want to know how LEO is tying that shit to Me? Not My place, not My Shit.
Theres a whole lot not being said here.

Just up and left 85 plants in Al. to go to the Bay? Or did He know the house was busted, then leave.

Found out bout warrant thru B/G chk.
Why didn't the partner let Him Know?

Sounds like the partner is DEFINATELY cooperating. The lawyer can find out a little bout that too.

Some fucked shit fo sho.
Best of luck to Your Friend Hovac.

No way in hell go back to the boonies...they will lock his ass up and throw away the key. Still look into the matter but do not go to AL.

He needs to lawyer up somehow. And not go back to 'Bama.
Has he called the prosecutor? From a burner phone, just before he tosses it on a boat to china.
Fuck them redneck states till the law gets sane

Unless he plans on falling off the map, he needs to get a lawyer, let them handle it and find out the details. Hard to lead a normal life with a warrant like that hanging over you... but it is indeed possible. Recommended...? no... but possible.

Like the others here have said, there's a lot more to this story, and depending on the details, they may not really have a case against him.

Either way, sounds like the partner is chirping. SMH.

Might pay to get one of those dope lawyers like in High Times or from NORMAL to handle it for him. Will costs a few thousand but the possibility of scaring those small town cops off the charges might be worth it...figure $5-10,000 unless it goes to court...

Well let's weigh the choices:

A. Bask in the warm California sun and toke all day on tasty Cali genetics with the winds of freedom blowing through his hair

B. Rot in a stenchy jail cell with some fat toothless dude named Bubba

hmmm...hmmmm that's a tough one

I would never go back to that state.....ever!!! If they do end up catching you and extraditing you, don't admit to anything. Even if your buddy is singing like a mofo, admit nothing. I think it would be awfully hard to attach you to his crimes unless you were caught red handed( like in a video) . If you do call, don't believe anything the prosecuter or the cops say. They will lie like bastards to get you back in their jurisdiction, so they can do what they want with you. If I was you I would do a little research on the statute of limitations of the crime. Then you will have a better understanding of if it's worth it to hide, or to call them ( from a burner cell)and try and work out a deal. One last thought, FUCK THE POLICE, AND FUCK RAT BASTARDS.

I wouldn't go back to AL. Fuck that. Stay on the run and start growing trees again. Why would he need a job when growing is your job. Certain crimes have certain amount of time to catch you before the charges go away. Usually 7 years. Maybe his crimes will fall into that category.

He might be able to find a lawyer for free or really low fees especially in the bay area with
those kind of charges.

I think even a student that has not passed the bar yet could negotiate a surrender on his
behalf or see how strong a case the prosecutor has. If he was not at the residence at the
time of the raid, it can't be that strong.

I found these by googling free lawyer services in bay area

how can he get a lawyer without money?

before he left Bama he does remember receiving a ticket for a lack of car insurance, but he doesn't remember going to court, so it could be a simple fix and not a shit storm... but his last grow attempt is still lingering in the back of his head.... it could be just a simple failure to appear!

how easy would it be to obtain a lawyer at SF rates? no ones working for free..

You call the highest paid attorney in that town in Alabama. Much cheaper than SF prices. In addition, I'm sure the local attorney will know the judge.

At least on this end of the country, many counties have searchable databases for legal infractions within that county. I don't know what the chances are of someplace in 'Bama being online with that information, but it would certainly be worth the effort to check into it.

make em earn it was always my theory. save money in safe spot and figure out what the deal is. cases go to shit sometimes. i have had quite a few in my younger days. even got extradited once and beat the case. lost lots of cash and a car tho. with the newer computer systems its sketchy. your name will come up if getting id in a lot of places. if you have local id the piggies don't usually go ncic unless their searching/you fuck up bad or piss em off , they search local . catch 22. peace.......its hard to stay off grid nowadays and prob will get caught at worst time
