Are you a grower or a buyer?

I grow my weed. I'm a medical marijuana patient in a state where it is not legal to be one. I have to grow my own because I don't know who I would get weed from. It is as simple as that. What about you?

I will buy herb only if it looks better than the stuff i have grown, and i keep reserves of different varieties. Kinda like the wineries do with different year wines.

I live no where near medical marijuana. As a matter of fact they have never even heard of MMJ where I live. But I am sick and I treat myself as I see fit. Fuck anybody that has a problem with that.

Grower. I now hate streetweed so much that I have pretty much zero problems to stop smoking when I'm out than before I was a grower.
Streetweed with residual nutrients, and badly dried/cured is streetweed on its best. I guess I could take a hit or two if it's offered and everybody's getting stoned.
Weed sprayed with pesticides, fungicides during flower or even worse, sprayed to make it weigh more is crap I will never touch again.
Really good streetweed, to my personal standards, is a 1 out of 100 chance.

I grow but I know too many great growers not to grab some from them here and there. Most times we just swap meds so we all can have various strains on hand.

I have not bought herb in years. I have not seen anything worth what people are selling it for. Once I see something ORGANIC that is better than what I have I will be willing to spend a little money. I don't see that happening around here any time soon.

I still buy, for a couple of reasons: mainly, because variety is the spice of life, and every once in a while some really nice shit rolls through, so I'll buy a quarter of it. What's a $100 here and there when you have $1000's of the stuff in your closet? But the other reason is, this keeps up the appearance that I am just a regular ol' smoker, and not a grower. No one stops to think that a guy who buys weed is also a grower.

It's a subtle tactic, but I believe it goes a long way.
