Are these seedling sprouts ready to be put under light?

Hello all, i have a quick question..... I started my seeds and they have popped up out of the dirt but the shell is still on all of them.... Are they ready to be put under lights or do they need to be kept in darkness until the shell comes off and then put under light? They sprouted yesterday

Ive never had this where they all sprout up from the dirt but all have the shells still on... i have uploaded some pics and any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! i dnt wanna kill these before they even get growing lol....thanks

They are ready for light. Make sure not to close as they are sensitive but not too far to avoid stretching. What kind of lights are you running?

They can be germinated under a light (think, the sun outdoors) just don't use an HID unless it's like 4 feet away.
As for the shells sticking, try to mist them often so it can fall off. If it dries out and sticks to the cotyledons the plant will likely die. I have VERY gently pulled the shell off after misting and using tweezers and a toothpick. Most plants use the soil to help pull off the shell as it pushes upside down to the surface and then straighten up, this requires a little depth to the soil and works better if seeds aren't planted too shallow.

Seedlings do very well underneath a close CFL.

MT is giving you good advice about keeping that seed shell moist so that it can flex and fall off. If the shell won't come off on its own or with gentle encouragement, I've found the best tool to be a pair of very sharp fine point tweezers. Squeeze the tweezers shut, then poke the tips into the shell opening, then relax your grip and allow the tweezers to open so that the tips pop the two halves of the shell apart.
