[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]My first grow and I really have no idea (or very little) if im doing good or bad. I supercropped these very young, like 2 weeks after sprouting. I think they look very healthy but they are quite short and bushy looking. these pics are at three weeks. Any opinions on how they look?

Looks like your soil is too wet and not enough perlite for air for plants that small. When I have plants that small, I don't like to water the whole container until the roots get bigger. I also like to add a lot more perlite for small plants. I add at least 25% perlite at a minimum. Other than that I rate their health a 7 out of 10.

Thanks for the advice I'll let it dry up a bit. TG white stuff on top of soil is diatomaceous earth not perlite.

How can I add perlite to the soil of potted plants.

Short answer, you don't. Long answer is you could probably take them out of the container and chop the outer dirt away and repot with a higher perlite %. But once a plant has put out roots in dirt you don't want to remove all of the dirt from them and transplant.

Yea I didn't think so and I did mix the soil with vermiculite before i planted the seeds. They are so wet in the pic because I just watered them. However, even so I'm gonna let the roots reach for a day or so more. They are really looking great right now.
