are particular brands of window a/c better than others?

simple q, are there particular models / brands of window a/c units that are more suitable for a sealed room? or, are they all (as long as they have a "recirculate" option and don't vent all the time) similarly sealed. i remember reading that not many are perfectly sealed and most will draw a small and perhaps negligible amount of stink and co2 out, but nowhere near what a single or dual hose portable would do, and generally, not a cause for concern in any case (as long as the a/c is on recirculate and not vent mode).

basically just looking for pointers before i go out and pick one up

Pick up one with an auto-restart feature and a high EER (look for the Energy Star logo). hoosierdaddy says most/all of these window units can be completely sealed internally fairly easily.

I know that the ones made by sharp sold at costco leak light through the foam inside them. The inside compartments of most window ac's are built from foam. LG makes good non light leaking units.
