Are my girls suppose to smell like butt?

I have some plants 6 weeks into flower. 1 is a White x Grape Krush and 2 are NYCD x G13Haze x Agent Orange. The buds stink like... I don't know what. Very stinky and not at all like cured MJ. Is this normal? I'm guessing so but I wanted to make sure there was not some key nutrient I'm missing like Vitamin MJ which makes them spell like pot instead of a dog's wet ass.

Some just do.
I have 4 SD x AO going right now and 3 of them smell lovely, 1 however smells far from lovely.
Not sure what it smells like but it is not pleasant, it is foul and turns my stomach. I would be afraid to sniff it if I was hungover cause it would cause me to puke.

If your getting a skunky pungent earthy smell that's normal.. Plants will smell as they grow and get very stinky as they get bigger...

Thanks for the info guys. All these plants smell stinky. Definitely earthy, and pungent. Not at all like any flower I would want to smell twice. I'm hoping they stop smelling like ass before I have to try to smoke some. haha.

Haha yep. I live by a lake and have several large breed swimmers. I smell wet dog ass almost every day in the summer time.

in all seriousness though, one of my favorite plants ever came from REZ's Double D, smelled like fresh, sour, dog turd before it cured out... I actually liked it... super offensive.

Actually I smelled them again today and they smell less like ass today. They are starting to get a little bit of a smell closer to what I was expecting. Hopefully they will come out alright! I've had so much stress to the plants in my first grow that I'm just going to be happy if the yield isn't complete crapola.

Ive been concerned lately as all of my fresh herb smells like fresh peas: odorless.
They look almost OK as there is a lot of sugar (the crystals are too small though I think they make up for it in number).
OK I sound like Im complaining and I aint. Seriously folks. They are not brought up in a sterile environment. I grew some Skunk for this reason and if it was out of my hand I couldnt smell it.

Any ideas why I aint got no odor?

sounds like one of the most common reasons... heat... for most strains the canopy where the buds sit under the light shouldn't reach 80F* or they will suffer... low smell taste and resin production are symptoms of high heat in the grow room

I grew Kushage out last year and had a big pheno that smelled like sweaty feet or sweat socks. Musky, dank and smelly. The general public loved it, but I couldent handle the smell.

I was checking on my shark attacks and 2 phenos were floral with long white pistils but the 3rd plant had short whitish yellow pistils and smelt like BO and garlic I think its gonna be a keeper
