Are Cannabinoids more soluble in alcohol or fat (like butter or oils)

yah I'm just wondering if i should mix a little butter or oil in with my everclear green dragon recipe. Maybe even use coconut oil or Hemp oil instead of butter? Anybody have any suggestions?

to get the most of oil/fats you generally heat the mixture but i dont think you would want to do that with alcohol
i wounder if adding lecithin would help in a alcohol wash?

well I'm not quite sure I'm using the rice cooker method something similar to the magic butter machine check this video. Im just wondering if the oils/fats mixed with the alcohol would make a more potent medicinal batch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9sGMbjDeNE

Oils mixed with alc would be counter productive and harder to make and handle. Keep it streamlined. Alcohol enters the brain quickly so as a carrier it may prove to be more effextive

Thanks i appreciate the feedback. Why cant we digest THC? Or i guess why does it need to be binded. I've always wondered that.

certain things bond better or we digest better so those substances work best for edibles (less time to process, better efficiency when eaten)
that last I read about it (I know times changes our understanding of things) alcohol and animal fat where the best carriers.
Conversely alcohol is an intoxicant and not everyone wants to be exposed to it and animal fat is not compatible with all diets either so there are many alternatives as well.
what makes the starting material more potent is decarbing which is not reliant on a particular carrier.
i find that once decarboxylized no carrier is needed, blob of oil on the tongue or hard candy work fine. Hard candies are the fastest to act with less tired come down later, even when compared to same dose and batch consumed other ways.

I'm wondering if the alcohol and oil mixed would be different some how. Like the delivery and lasting effect. Would the fat burn off differently than the booze maybe leaving you with something more non digestible? Would something like the use of hemp oil or coconut oil be more suitable for the mix? I'm just thinking of certain desserts blended with alcohol and the tastes and effects are actually quite different than say just doing a shot. I know this is kind of going off the road map a bit but nothing questioned nothing gained.
alcohol was/is the solvent of choice for medical/industrial. if there WAS a better way, they would use it.

many a miracle cure was based on alcohol in the olden days!
often the other ingredients were strictly stunt
/except opiates or certain medicinal herbs
it is also a very good solvent
but like weird says, it has effects all its own that many do not agree with everybody
much like smoking a joint rolled with tobacco, for non smoker the effects of the tobacco can often be stronger than the weed

Yah i gotta say i wonder what the tincture will be like. I wonder if i will prefer the rick simpson type oil over the tincture.

rick simpson oil and alcohol tincture are 99% the same thing imo.
Rick simpsons method evaporates the alcohol to get a very high thc% and low humidity. This way it is very potent, can be stored for a long time and you can buy a little syringe full of it and it will last for weeks. good for storing, sending, transporting to pacients in countries without legal cannabis.
you have the same thing by drinking it with the alcohol, and maybe it will medicate you a little faster if it is solved in alcohol already.
