ive grown a few autos in the past with little success.i grew them outdoors.the plants had great crystal coverage and an amazing smell, but totally lacked potency and the buds were very whispy and airy.i believe the plants were auto ak.i see a lot more autos coming out,but are any of them good for outdoor,im not into whispy buds or shit potency, but id love to give another try next season with a good auto.i hear paradise has a few nice ones, but getting grow reports on outdoor autos is very hard.
if anyone can tell of any good experiences with a good auto id love to hear it.

I grew NL automatic from Royal queen seeds this year outdoor. The buds were fluffy, although some of them were pretty compact. It depends on the pheno ;) But the smell and the potency on all of the plants was comparable to "normal" plants. Overall i am satisfied with the high ;)

I've grown Super Cali Haze and MI5 out on my balcony earlier this season. The SCH buds were fluffy and the high was amazing, the MI5 were more dense and the smoke more on the "stone" side. I'm very satisfied with both.

every auto i've tried has been knockout. auto kush is as dense as a photo kush. breed the auto gene into whatever strain you like.

Having started my autos (and all other seeds) on May 15th, I am running and selectively harvesting :

Barneys Farm : Malana Bomb
Auto Seeds : MiG-29
Auto Seeds : Purple Cheese
Dinafem Seeds :White Widow AUTO
Dutch Passion : Think Different Auto
Mdanzig : The Qwixter
Short Stuff Seeds : Russian Rocket Fuel

I have to say.... I think that autos, in my neck of the woods, are the way to go.
My other photo period plants are just budding up, and the autos are just finishing. I could potentially get another auto run in if I had started them a couple weeks ago, and they definately produce.
I can only guess they are going to be potent, but how could they not be. Full Sun, organic nutes ( except Maxibloom), and good weather....
I have had no problems so far with auto's except getting 100% males from a non- femmed batch of seeds. ** I do have auto pollen now though :)

well, without pics, it's hard to be clearly fair

I will say the blueberry based autos are sorta laggy, and the haze based are sorta lean.

SOOO, I would recco the :

Think Diff and the Purple Cheese, so far.

*Though I have just harvested my First "Vanillow" ; (Barney's Farm -Vanillakush/ Short Stuff-RussianRocket Fuel), and it may be early but the drop- off is occuring suddenly, and it's getting humid and hot again.
*ie. pistils are dying, and mold is imminent.

Well, I've only grown out one auto but I was very happy with LR2 back in '07 or '08. Yield was decent and quality was up there, especially considering it was a seed run.

Anyhoo - it was no one-hitter quitter but the high was excellent; happy, energetic, spacey but not confusing. It made a good impression in the neighborhood.
