Are all bulbs the same length?

Are most growing bulbs 250-1000w the same length?

A 400w is like 9"-10"

A 1000w is probably at least 18" and twice as thick?

Go to 1000bulbs.com and look up the wattage lights you're wondering about. They'll have the length and width there.

I ask because im gonna buy an adjusta-shade and they come in one size, yet they come with a heat shield on it, the heat shield size should vary per bulb, doesn't make sense...

IMO there is no point of using heatshields. You should move the light higher if there is burn instead of blocking some of the light with a piece of metal...

Yea, ditch the heat sheild. Exhaust better, don't block the light.
