aprtment grow started... need suggestions for mh 1000w

Alright i have germinated 110 seeds and aiming for 50 female plants. I am using 6 x 40w long tube florescent for 2 weeks.. The problem is i am not sure how i am going to hang up my 1000w since my ceiling is in a vertical angle... im open to any suggestion on what and how to build somthing to hang up the light.. i cannot use chains to hang against the ceiling.. thanks please comment

get some screw in hooks, and some string.

Try putting screw hooks on opposite sides of the walls and running a wire cable across, then use another cable or chain to hang from the wire cable. wouldn't advise using string to hang up a 1000w, unless it strong as hell and fire proof. don't skimp on this issue, you don't want your light to squash ur ladies days before harvest.

I would also advise going with fewer, bigger plants. alot less work and yeild will be just as good or better. trying to transplant/water just 20 females is alot of work. trust me.

righton agent420. lots of little plants are a pain in the ass to water and maintain. Maybe 20 big plants or something? 100+ plants are alot! atleast for me.

what exactly are the specs you got to work with?

yeah i had to deal with 24 plants and it was a good deal of work.... plus being in an apartment is tough

it isnt really an aprtment i have a friend that owns a big house and he is letting me rent the top floor for 4 months.. i have a about a 100square feet to work with but can only run 2000 watss at THE MOST!!! im using this 1000wat for vegetative... i also have two partners that help me out most of the time.. i also plan to top once or twice than fim and flower.. the only problem i have right know is hooking up the 1000 wat to somthing.. since im on the top floor of the house, the ceiling is in two verticle angles and very high, because of the weird roof.. i need to find or build somthing..

well my only other suggestion would be got to local hardware store buy a stud finder and anchor some hooks into the celing studs. they come in differant sizes and they come in galvinised or stainless steel

Could you run a wooden beam across the room attached to the walls about a foot below the ceiling ? - works for me in a 10' long room may not work in your room - any hardware store will have brackets for attaching the beam to the walls

Brightside - wooden beams.. thats wat i was thinking about.. but if i put them on, they would run 4 - 5 metter if i remember my room size... would that hold a 1000Watter.. that sounds like a good idea.. i want to take picture of the room im working with


should i get a 1000wat or 2 x 400 watters... i was thinking about it and im really not sure wich option would have more benefit than the other... but so far i like the idea of 1 big 1000wat light for veg.. wat do u think???
